Pitbull owners?

Well how many dogs do you own and what size are they?
How much room do they have for a back yard?
Anyone own one that lives in an apartment?

Iv got a pitbull golden retriever mix, shes about 70 pounds and i put her on a 20ft leash in the back yard. but shes an indoor dog.
 
I have 1 dog.....4 cats.

Khan (my pit bull) is 56 lbs. He is 22" long, 17" neck. I'm not sure his height, but he is slightly shorter than your average pit bull.

I own a house that is almost 1,100 sq ft. I'm not sure how big my yard is, but it is decent size, not huge by any means.

I know some people who own pit bull and live in apartments or condo. Be careful though, because ALOT of apartments, condo's and anything with HOA have restrictions on the breed and pit bull's are usually not allowed.
 
I wouldnt recomend an apt for a pitbull. They like to run and jump and play just like most dogs. Only thing with a pitbull is you must keep them on a good thick chain if you you leave it bu itself. Cause they will jump any kind of fence or find away to get out of a backyard.. There is no better breed IMO..
 
Pitbulls are great looking dogs. If I had the space I'd get one.

I just wish select assholes didn't ruin the breed for everyone. I've had big dogs most of my life, and I got a pug for my fiance a couple years ago. We walk it downtown in R.O and when it's warm I always see these wanna-be-Gotti assholes with their Pits on chain link leashes that viciously bark at every passing dog (of which there are tons). Obviously, the animals have been trained this way (or I should say "not trained"). One bite with intent from a pit would kill my pug, or a worse, any of the little kids romping around down there.

The pit is such a tremendous breed, but I fear dickheads that use them to look like they belong in rap videos in some honkey/homoville will lead to further backlash against them :bs: You already see towns enacting acts against them, when they should be enacting them against their moron owners.
 
ive had many pits, the best dog imo....

they are fine with other animals especially if they grow up with it, they are a active dog and do like to run and play constantly...not a lazy dog at all...

they are different in sizes i have had one that was 50lbs and i had one that was 90lbs, the bigger one was the sissy one, lol....they are great guard dogs and are great around kids cause you cant hurt em, they have such a high tolerance of pain that the kid can jump, pull, hit and the dog just loves them more...
 
She is almost three and 70lbs.
A little high strong at times.
I live in eastpointe and i have almost two lots.

Mine is now 2 years old and she is the biggest baby! When I'm on the couch, she's attached to my hip! All she wants to do is what I'm doing. She's a great running partner because she never gets tired, but she also knows when it's time to settle down and relax. I got her from a rescue group, check out www.thebusterfoundation.org if you think adoption might be an option for you! I would recommend an apt/condo setting for the dog though because it was stated before, they like to run and play, and need the room to do so!

two of the biggest lap dogs
they have a huge yard to play but they love sleeping and chewing up girlfriends flip flops and shoes

Here is a cheasy camera phone pic of my brother's pup.
His name is Shadow and is one of the best looking pits i've seen, perfect with kids and other dogs.
Like stated before it's not the dog it's the person.

I got Khan through a rescue (Advocates for the Underdog) that works in Ontario where they have BSL.

Khan is going to be mad if I don't post pics of him too :laugh:
