Pit Bulls in Waterford

Does anybody know the fines of owning an illegal pit bull in waterford? Im moving this weekend and will be giving up my dog to live in the city. The neighbors at the new house have a pitbull without tags and looks to be around a year old. Is

Is there any possible way to get my dog legalized in waterford? I know many of you guys have dogs that are a part of the family....it kills me just thinking of putting her down :(

They are still illegal in Waterford, so there is no way of legalizing it. I do not know the fine but could probably find out.

Years ago, my wife and I almost didn't move to Waterford because of that stupid law.

Thats exactly where im at now....i shouldnt have to give up my dog to live in their city...

Know way I would move somewhere that told me I could not have my dog, maybe extra insurance but not that i could not have him at all, next they will be telling me I can not have a kid.

dont move there then, its not like you move there then find out you cant have the dog.
 
Just get it licensed with the city as a "terrier mix". My mom did it in Sterling Heights years ago and continues to register her every year with no problems. *knock on wood*
 
pass her off as a stafordshire terrier or american bulldog , theres plenty of dogs that look like pittys that im sure you could pass her off as

X2 i have mine registered as a stafordshire terrier

X3. My vet is pretty good about this. You get their shots ask the vet to identify them as something other than a pitbull for the paper work.

My rescue is a very rare Mexcian Hunting dog. :)

Lol. Probably the only mexican hunting he can do is sniffing out a plate of nachos....
