Picture of my downgrade

Yeah, so I decided to get rid of the GTO to try to save a little more money. Matt found me this very nice '04 Sonic Blue SVT Focus Euro Edition (has different wheels, winter package, upgraded sound, upgraded seats, HIDs). It's actually quite rare in this color...less than 80 were made of the Euro Edition in this color. That was a fun fact. The car is pretty nice. I definitely will miss the grunt of the GTO and the roar of the V8, but hey...sometimes life forces you to make tough decisions. Anyways, here's a pic from yesterday - the day I got it.

not bad for a focI, ya need to get those driver/passanger windows retinted though!....i put 15% all around my ex girlfriends black 4 door focus, it looked pretty good!

Damn tyler you change cars at least twice a year. Actualy that is the third car this year. I remember this spring when you, Justin, heather and I were at 101 down town and you said "yeah I just got a GTO, I'm gonna just hold on to this one for a while I'm tired of switching cars." Guess that didn't last. LOL

Wish it would have. I still love the GTO - it was the best car I've owned so far.

I just got tired of being stressed out about money all the time. I had to really rethink my priorities, and I finally realized that having no money was causing me to be really depressed...and that all I had to do to change that was make a tough decision. So, yeah - I made the decision and got the new car 2 days later. Definitely feels like a big weight has been lifted off of me...a lot of the financial stress has already gone away, and I can see it just getting better in the future. Definitely wasn't what I WANTED to do, but it's what I had to do. I think next time I get a fast car I'll go a cheaper route and get a Cobra (cheaper to modify to big HP) or a C5 vette. Always liked those things. Anyway, thanks for the nice comments everyone.

The car has to be fun to drive also, Its not going to have the pull of the goat, But its got perks. I like it, nice car.

the biggest debt was the insurance, right? I cant see the mpg or payment being too awful, but i may be wrong? Nice Foci!

Car looks good. I totally understand about the hole making down grades and other choices. But if pays off in the long run tho.

$200+ in car payment and around $100-$200 a month in insurance and gas expenses.

these are really nice cars so long as your not looking for a race car lol my brother had one of these for 3 years and loved every bit of daily driving it

Definitely not looking for a race car...I might go to the AutoX's next year for shits and giggles, but I am fully aware that this is just a daily driver until I am in a position to get something nice again
