i thought it would be cool to see some pics of different drag tracks around the country? i think the south has some bad ass 1/8 mile tracks?

i will start this thread with a pic i found on racingjunk this track is somewere in texas?


and some guys say the guardrails at ubly scare them? lol

m-37 dragway in brohman,mi (the article i read said it open in the 60's and closed in 1978!)

Here's one outside of El Paso we used to go to. Recently famous for the two drag racing news vans.

Before that we raced at an old airport runway called Dezert Demonz in El Paso. Racing was at night and there were no lights so there aren't too many good pics. Saw many a car go off into ditches here.

i just passed a little track in vance alabama yesterday,the had a sign out said heads up and promods this month
i saw signs for two other tracks outside decauter alabama
 
This is a dragstrip that used to exist very close to where I am living currently. "US 30 Where the great ones run," is what my dad said. Here is how it looked in it's day and how it looks today.

why dont they clean up some of these old tracks and let people run for free it would cut down on the street racing

This track has been on horsepower tv, its basiclly in a guys backyard.
 
This is the 1/8 mile track called Sumerduck Dragway from back home in Virginia, i love Milan but those old eighth mile tracks are fun. Plus their catch phrase is "Try Your Luck At the Duck" haha.

no your thinking of george rays wildcat dragway which has NO gaurdrails, just a fence and is in Arkansas
