1989' S-10 4" lift 34"x9.5 TSL's Stock Drive train. Some other redneck stuff

For now plans are to
  • Find a set of seats and add a roll bar interior so i can run my 5 point harness's
  • Make a set of Custom Box Bumpers with D ring's
  • Thats about it for now. besides MAYBE clearance the fenders to eliminate tire rub.
  • Oh yea and wheel it !

Future plans are 1 tons 37-40's
Full Cage (engine cage, interior cage, Tube Flat Bed)
Winch


Very far future plans include
383 Stroker
NV4500
Dana 300 or Atlas
4 links with air shocks or coilovers

Thats all pending wether the body lasts that long.

Body is in good shape drivers side front corner of cab has some bad rot but other than that and the bed its solid with no bondo !

My guess would be to minimize the approach and departure angles? Not too sure, as I did casual offroading. But I would guess with it being longer it could hit the ground with steep inclines and declines?

Just a guess.

BAM ! yep i just saw that extra 20" of overhand as a problem when it came time to climb some vertical shit.. so Off it went ! i cut 12" out of the bed, but with the new bumper design and everything i gained about 18" of clearance back there
made a new bumper

Yea i was shocked by how much abuse it took! i was doing stuff that buddy with a built off road rig wouldnt do to his rig and it took it all ! it was crazy !
but now it needs 1 ton axles stroker v8 and a Dana 300 or atlas II transfer case :rockwoot: :rockwoot:
 
Is offroading anything like racing? (addiction/hate losing/etc)

caise i'd probably have to buy myself a Grave Digger if i ever got into it, lol

LOL, yeah and now the $$$$ start flyin:lol:

Sad to say it but i miss my old 2000 Ranger 4x4 with the b.s. off road package... I Put some wrangler ats' in a 265/75/16 on there with the 4.10 rear and i thought i was some kinda hero...lol
I wasnt afraid of anything... The fact that is was a lease probably atributed to that tho :lol:
I turned it in for service once, they had to replace the front dif, transfercase and also the driveshaft... lol there was a 6 icnh wide chunk of treestump wedged in there... My uncle was the Buisness manager at the dealership... As he pulled the stump out from under his desk...He was like " Service managers generaly look down on this.." But somehow he got it covered under waranty... even with the orv stickers on it..lol


I miss havin a truck, even if it was just a lil one!

i used to have an 03 Sonomna Zr2 was decent off road but wouldnt hold up to the abuse.. it got traded in for my ram and now i have a separate toy for the fun stuff :rockwoot:


And yes off roading is VERY addictive. and its like racing in the sense that you're constantly dumping money into it !
 
Well i've started looking for my drivetrain parts and im gona be building the tube bed soon. Also grandma has mentioned buying a cage as she's worried about my safety !

OH and i got some new seats

Future Drivetrain
Dana 60 Front axle (one ton truck axle)
Corporate 14 bolt rear axle (one ton as well)
Dana 300 Transfer case ( when twin stick shifters are installed i'll have independant shifing of the front and rear axles :rockwoot:
Either Th350 or 700R4 Trans was gona go NV4500 but auto will be better for the climbing and stuff..
and last but not least !

I have some Pool balls im gona use for shift knobs !
