I what to get the file for a pic he got of my car. he said the full file was 250 bucks. and that would print out a pic 20ft x 30ft. He said one that would do 8in x11in would be 20. So i look at the file i got from Mike the photo guy last year for 20bucks and sent him the info. (3000 pix x 2400pix 300dpi) So he tells me that is a full size file and its 250 bucks. WTF!!!!! I dont mine you makin a buck but my god. Rant off.
 
Did he want $250 for the 20" x 30" poster? :lol: Jesus H that's asking a lot for a damn print. I know magazines and what not pay top dollar for use of photos, but an average Joe wanting a nice hi-res pic of their car....that's a bit ridiculous.
 
He's probably referring to giving you the raw file off the camera for $250 instead of a scaled down jpeg version.

Mike shoots with a Nikon D3 (same as me) which can produces 4256 x 2524 images in raw format, which translates to image sizes of 10-11 megs each.

You don't need raw files to get great prints, but the larger the print the more detail you'll lose by starting with a scaled down jpeg version. That's all.

I've never met the photographer at Ubly, but he doesn't sound very serious about selling anything if he's asking $250 for a picture.

Your car looks familiar - if you've raced at one of the Motown rentals recently I may have gotten a few pics of your car.

I asked him for a pic 3000 pix x 2400 and a dpi 300 he said that size was 250 bucks. that is the same size file i got from Mike at milan for 20 last year!
