Phone Thoughts?!

I'm sick of this Metro P.O.S Droid I got and I am looking to buy a new phone. Maybe used, or I might by a new one. I am looking for a phone that can do 4G, I am not going to be downloading anything onto it or play games, I just want a phone that isn't a hunk of crap that the internet is fast and I can text rather easily and not fight an un-responsive touch screen. I am also looking to do like a month to month thing, I don't want a contract. With that said, what do you guys recommend?

X1000000000000000 i have the acsend and i hate it!!! its so slow, the touch screen sucks and it takes like 2 minutes for a call to connect i hate the damn thing.
