At one point in the mid 2000s, one of my employees made the same mistake (giving the dealer her DCid) and they used it like crazy...up to the point where Chrysler got directly involved. She found out by chance when she went to give out a family member her discount and turns out there were multiple PINs that had been generated using her DCid. In the end (after all sorts of investigation, etc.), my employee lost her car purchase privileges for two years even though she had nothing to do with it. No idea as to what happened to the scumbags who were doing it at the dealership. So yeah, it happens all the time and has been for quite a while...I still hear about it from people every now and then.
