Parking block install

Hey guys. Kind of a strange question, but I wanted to ask and see if there was anyone out there that could do this for me. We moved into our new house in Nov, and the seller did a brand new driveway last year, when doing so, he added a 10x40 area off the driveway to park his motorhome. There is a slight slant to my lot and I need to see if there is anyone out there that can install 2 parking block at the end of the slab to allow me to just back a boat/trailer without have to get out in the dark and wheel chucks and all that jazz behind the tires.

I would put a piece of wood down... If you drill in the concrete that far to the edge you risk it cracking the section off...

this is exactly what we used to do with my dads old car hauler. he just set down a 2x4 and backed up until he hit it and knew it was where it was supposed to be

I agree. I'd do some concrete epoxy and glue down a 2x4 or 2 and call it a day.

Here is the issue. The 2x4 won't hold it. Is a 5,000 pound boat and trailer. It pushed the 2x4 like it wasn't even there. I had to wheel chock the wheels between each side and put a 2x4 behind each rear tire. Trying to Simplify the process of just being able to come home, back it in bumping into the parking block and unhook and go. The 2 x 4's/chocks are all a pain in the ass with a trailer that we use frequently during the summer you know.

The slab is 40 foot long and the trailer is only 24 foot long so I wont be anywhere near the edge with the parking block so I think I would be able to do it. Just wasn't sure if anybody on here knows anyone.

another option is to spike it in the dirt at the end of the driveway so that you're not disturbing the concrete and you'd right at the edge still.

parking block are held in place by rebar drilled into the concrete, theres several places that sell them

If your going with lumber you need a real stick that the trailer can't roll over like a 4x4 or bigger depending on clearance. I used a 4x6 in my driveway it keeps me from getting too close to the garage when I'm back in at night.

Off into the grass/dirt side nearby to the concrete, place a landmark [Bush-shrub-flagpole] parallel to the drivers front door that will indicate when you are backed within the limiting area.

We have parking blocks at my work. I think we get them from Messina concrete. I can check tomorrow.
