Tippys are the biggest peice of garbage, there tuff but there still garbage, I would only by a tippy if I played maybe every other summer and wanted to look like one of the guys with a rental gun lmaooo... No offense Al I know that it use to be your baby lol.

damn, he must of just sold it because we crono'd sunday together and he had it. Well if your looking for a tuff woods gun the BT4 is ideal I think with the egrip full auto you can shoot up to 10-13 balls per second, like I said its got less than one case of paint throu it $175

Steve, you're my boy and all, but you know very little when it comes to paintball guns and paintball in general. Tippmann's are one of the most durable guns you can buy. Always have been, and likely always will be. Did you forget what gun your BT4 is based off of? The barrel thread it has? etc? Tippmanns are not the most fancy, expensive, pretty, fast, etc guns around, but they are the most durable. You could have simply gotten your point across by saying "I am not a fan of Tippmanns" and that would have been fine. But for you to run off at the mouth about Tippmanns being garbage is absolutely incorrect information. Your Impulse on the other hand...not THAT this is a steaming pile of heavy shit that NEVER works. *FACT*

I dropped my tippy in the river once pulled it out and it shot fine :lol: I think I oiled that marker 1 time in the 3 years I owned it and probably 150-200 cases through it and never had a problem except for the ball detent finally wearing out...

Not by any stretch of the imagination!!

You think that maybe, juuuuuuuuust maybe many paintball fields buy Tippmann 98C's for rental guns simply because they can take an absolute assload of abuse and get little to no maintenance/oil/lube/care, etc? Crazy I know...who would have thunk it?!?!? My Tippmann 98c however has been better taken care of than most people's $1000+ paintball guns.

I'm probably going to pick up another 98 this year to add to my back up honestly that was one of the best markers I've owned and I've owned some very high end expensive markers a few years back and the maintenance on some of those was out of hand and not worth it IMHO but different strokes for different folks. I just love the idea of after my $1100 Stage 3 Rat Impulse would break down I'd reach in my gear bag pull out the tippy slap the freak on it and shoot just as fast as the Was boarded imp.

But I do want to play some X-ball @ Hells this year! I hear entry and all day air is $5. Sure you have to buy their paint @ $60 a case, but if you shoot 1 case you're looking at a day of play for $65.00. Not too bad if their field is as great as some say it is.
