Mum always said I was special. But seriously, shouldn't all be relieved the shooter is (to be generous) semi-retarded? Imagine had he been afflicted with a modicum of talent, at anything. There are so many people deserving of death and he found unarmed high school kids who never hurt anyone - horrendous. Shame no one gave him a bus ticket to Lansing where the passing of so few could benefit so many. Enough to make one weep.

Dude, it wasn't funny the first time, now you sound just fucking creepy. "Good thing he wasn't a better shot" is not the take for this, not ever. Doubling down to "Too bad he didn't shoot people who deserved it is even worse". The reason he didn't have more victims is because the school had lockdown drills, and students followed them. We know this because he was reported shooting through locked doors because everyone was out of the hallways. Those drills save probably dozens of lives.

Feiger would not even attempt to hold the school district responsible if he did not think he has a high % of winning.
I see a very high out of court settlement being made on this.

My guess is it won’t make it to court. Hopefully we see some legislation to help better protect our kids and those who work inside the schools. A terrible tragedy.

I don't disagree that someone fucked up and owes something here, but where does Oxford Public Schools get even $25 million? Going to shut down some schools to pay that? Lay off some teachers? Sell some buildings? Voters have to approve a new tax millage to pay this? I am not sure if they carry liability insurance either. Does the state end up holding the bill? Just wondering.

I think what you will see is that the government portion of the lawsuit will get thrown out, and it will fall back to the individual's who are getting sued, and coming out of their home-owners or something. Even then, it is probably capped nowhere near a million. I think Fieger is making a play to get the state to cover it, which might just work.

Probably the limit is how much they got, which is very little from what it seems. Not to mention that any income they might have had is dried up because they can't work anymore since they can't afford the ridiculous bail.

Yeah I’m just thinking there is a monetary cap since they are private individuals instead of a business/ corporation.

Plus if they had more than $50,000, at least one of them would bail out. My guess is that what they have in the bank wouldn't pay for Fieger's hourly charge just for holding the press conference today.

They are being held on
$500,000 bond right? In a bond situation don’t you have to pay the full amount? Thought only bail was 10%.

The school district has insurance and I'm sure the got a cap that they pay out... if there's more, then the tax payers pay the rest... But what a rat Fieger is... he knows this is "National news" and wants to put his face in the spotlight... scumbag
