Outer Tie Rods?

Dana Spicer Front end Chassis. $300 for tie rods isn't excessively high if they use Spicer/Dana parts.

Ok he told me the tie rods were 35 bucks a piece for both

The shop charges 70 an hour for labor which isnt bad but he said it would take 2-3 hours to do tie rods and the alignment was 60 bucks.

Both Jobs include only replacing the 4 tie rods and doing the alignment. The odds of succesfully removing the old adjusting sleeves if they are original are slim to none with out serious damage occuring. So add $30 for Import sleeves and $50 for USA made sleeves. I doubt they will come off.

Did they inspect the Idler Arm and the Pitam arm for wear as well ? Those are very commonly worn out components.

Oh Buy a membership. It will save you money.

The mechanic told me that they were just doing out because they were pretty bad. He did tell me a had an idler arm that was a little loose but overall he said my front end was pretty tight besides those outer tie rods. He said $300 was after the discount and not doing all that stuff you mentioned...lol.

Definately not high quality parts at $35 a tie rod.

It will never align correctly with a loose Idler or pitman. If you want to bring it Over I can give you a detailed written qoute and I will do a courtesy front end inspection and check everything for wear so you know exactly what needs servicing.
