well, not ready for any call-outs yet, but made some good progress this weekend. new clutch set-up ready to go back in, just need a quick clean-up on the flywheel first. lost the air-pump and plumbing. really cleans up that side of the engine bay. once i clean off 90k of road grime, we'll freshen up the rest of the undercarriage. things are shaping up!

Nice looking 4 eye.....good luck with the build. Just got a 86 GT for my 14 year old son...he's real excited to restore/ build it.

that was me, sweet. Did you end up using the C4 that was in it? :rockwoot:

yes the c-4 is in it now,had to change the bell housing ,it was for a c-5 so it pulled the converter outa the pump.i ran it all summer and then had it rebuilt and changed the converter.the motor ran but leaked oil bad.i pulled it and put a roller motor in it,blew it up then put the motor thats in it now.302 roller, trickflow cam, ported gt-40's,1 3/4 macs,4000 stall,200 shot nos, best of 11.35 with the shorty headers and the carb tuned wrong. hopefully with a little tuning it might go a little faster.

no wonder the guy couldnt get the trans in, i wish i would have had time to try and get it in, i wasnt sure what was going to happen with all that, like i told you at the time i had never ran the car, wish i would have kept it but it looks like youre enjoying it.

back on topic, ttt.

Dang sweet. What did you end up doing with it? I kinda wish I woulda kept it haha.

my wife didnt want it in the driveway anymore so i traded it for a 4wheeler, wish i wouldve kept it now since i want to build a nice street car now and i'll have to put a cage in my ttop car now.

thanks. it's hard to get much done during the week, but still plugging along. getting everything (trans related) cleaned up to go back in this weekend. freshened up the t-5 with a few new hard parts, resurfaced the flywheel, rounded up new hardware for the install. new energy susp. mounts coming in tomorrow. hoping for a good weekend. hearing about guys driving their cars already has me motivated to get in the shop asap. we'll see how it goes. thanks all for viewing my thread. jim.
