Ortiz vs Shamrock III

I suspect this one will actually go some distance. I say rock until something pops. :)

Then hopefully we won't have to hear a catchy slogan like... "It's a bore, but it's number 4". :D

At least this one is free...After watching the ultimate fighter, I had alot more respect for Ortiz. He was more dedicated to his team than Shamrock. Shamrock is past his prime.
 
It's going to come down to conditioning and stamina... unfortunately, as much as I'd like to see Shamrock win.. He simply cannot go the distance anymore.

If he does win... he needs to immediately retire.
 
As much as I dislike Ortiz, I think the same thing will happen to Shamrock like in the 2 previous fights. And I'm glad this ones free cause it wasn't work paying to see the first 2.

explain how he got beat down last time? The ref called the match and shamrock wasn't even phased. Oh know, Ortiz is ontop of him and landed 2 elbows, call the match. Gay.

Personally, these ufc fights are lame. As soon as someone looks like they might get knocked out or beaten, they call the fight. Boxing > UFC

He got beat down because Ortiz was on top of him dropping punches on him. Whether or not you think he was phased or not, the ref thought that he wasn't defending himself and called it. Not to mention the first time they fought and Ken got his ass kicked by Ortiz.

They call the fight when someone cannot intelligently defend themself. You can't compare it to boxing. The gloves they wear in UFC are barely anything compared to boxing. It's stupid to say UFC fights are lame because they get stopped too soon. There have been the occasional time that the ref may have stopped it too early, but usually it's justified. Do you actually watch any fights?
 
Yeah I do, I have watched enough fights to come to my conclusion. And I missed the 1st fight but I seen the 2nd...I am not the only one that has called the last fight pathetic thanks to an early call by the ref.

And why is it stuipd to say that? I agree that some of the fights I have watched were fun. Most are not and are over as soon as they start. I guess I just like to see a nice long , but not to long, fight between 2 guys (or girls) where the ref isn't calling the fight at the first sign someone is losing it.
 
The first fight was a good fight, and Shamrock did good in the first one!! but Ortiz's take downs decided that one..... 91bird is right Shamrock was not anymore beat up than he has been in any one of his prior fights(2nd fight), this is his job, and he probably has been in that same situation hundreds of times... Ref should have let it go longer, before he jumped the gun
 
i think HBO/SHOTIME should start buying some fights so there not ALL FUCKIN PPV!!!!
and shamrock is BS...as soon as he left the original UFC and went to wresaling...what a fag

Ortiz is gonna beat Shamrock. I used to not like Ortiz, but since he was a coach on TUF, I have changed my mind. Sure, he talks a bit, but he backs it up.
 
The reason the second fight was stopped so quick was because Slamcock was recieving elbows to the head. One of those elbows made him go limp. There is no way Ken was going to survive much longer. Herb Dean did his job and in my opinion made the right call.

Shamrock in his prime was an ok fighter. Royce made him tap during their first fight and Ken then tried denying it, lol. Then they fought again and Ken knew he could not beat him so he held him down and got the draw. Who did Ken ever beat? Kimo,.....
