original mustang color paint

would it be possible to find medium blue glow from 1982 ? its the original color of my notch and I kinda want to keep it the same color ? its just really faded as she lived in Florida for most of its life

I know NAPA can mix it, they did the color on my mustang and you cant tell where I sprayed it

I work at the detroit DC in the warehouse and the guys in the store up front mixed it for me, idk if they all have this ability but I know we ship out mixed paint for them all the time so other NAPA stores must be able to order it from us, its a next day thing

NAPA's crossfire is actually pretty good paint too. I used it on my 62 beetle and it was great.

It's private label Sherwin-Williams so it's comparable to (if not the same as) their other paints.

It really depends on what your looking to spend on materials and the quality.

Any Glasurit,RM or Limco product is great, but I'm biased

It may very well be base/clear, the early 80's was a transition time from acrylic enamel to base clear so not every color was yet available in base/clear. Take some 2000 grit and wet sand a small area and see if color comes off

Sand an area in the door jam that hasn't seen much weathering.

Your gonna want to put base/clear on the car regardless of what was on there from the factory, unless your going to sell the car than put whatever is cheapest
