My wife and I have been looking at houses lately and have been approved to buy one..I dont have to sell the car but I think it might be the right thing to do buying a house..My wife already said I can buy a roller and start a project and she really doesnt want me to sell it either..

My questions to all of you guys is would you sell it? How much do you think the car may be worth and how much do you think i can get for it..Heres a quick run down of the "poop coupe"

82 notch Mustang, (original V-8 car)
I have been told it is 1 of 33 Curry Brown met coupes built. It has original paint from the black belt line up..

357 Windsor, Pro top line aluminum heads, Comp cams 550 lift cam, Air gap intake, 750 Demon carb, Long tubes, Reiter made x-pipe, 8.8 with 3.73's....

I only made one pass with the car this way and my god i am almost embarassed to post the time...
13.80@117 with 2.4 60 foot time...Go ahead and bash me

I have had some impressive kills on the street and am sure the car can go mid 12's all day long..I drive it on the street every day if i can in the summer and it starts up with no problems every time..

I dont even know where to begin with a price..So any help would be appreciated..Thanks in advance..

you cant sell it untill we run them :)

i dont know the prices on mustangs but i'd say 12grand. its a pretty damn clean and well taken care of ride

i also say keep it, even the wife said to keep it! i mean when u try to sell it everyones gonna lowball the shit out of you, you wont get what you want for it, u should just keep it, and we'll just forget you even talked about selling it :)

Boy, its always tough to price a car like this... I really like it because its unique and different. On the other hand, even though its a rare color, how many are willing to really pay for that rarity, especially since it is....well.... "brown"? Again I like it the car alot, so please don't take this wrong.

Given current market conditions with these cars, I would probably price the car somewhere between $7-10k.

I am not for sure yet if i am going to sell it, just tossing it out there..

Nothing said to be taken the wrong way, I appreciate you input..the color almost turned me off at first to buying it..LOL..

I was thinking maybe Ebay with it but who knows yet...

Post her up on foureyedpride.com... There are a ton of Mustang specialists on there that can tell you the value and offer opinions..

I personally love the car, and think you should keep it! It's too clean to give up!

Eddie it would be a shame to see you get rid of her. I'd start off asking brain damage money then go down from there if you really want to sell it. Selling your baby even though you might not use it is hard. I'd start 10.5-11k then work down.

I've been kicking around the idea of selling my car. Posted it for what I thought was too much money for not what's in it, but what I could let it go for without too much crying. I had a bunch of "wanna trade" and "I'll get back with you" people, but no one stepped up to the plate with $.

the color combo is a love/hate. personally, i love it...

either way g/l, whatever direction you choose....

Hey wer're supposed to run 'em! Sorry to hear you may be selling it. I have no idea it's worth- maybe $8500? :dunno:

if you dont "have to" sell it....i'd hold onto it to avoid regretting it later. How long have u had it? Im sure a fox like that isnt easy to come across.

Or do u really want to do a new project with buying a roller and this sale would fund that?

Don't sell it.... Keep it you will not find another one that clean unless you pay out your ass for one. What ever you get out of your car you will have to pay 3 times that amount to but another one...

I'm not a good guesser of cost...But the way you described the car, and how much you've got into it I wouldn't sell it. You like it, its a rare car, and it looks to be in extremely good condition. You'd never get enough for it to make it worth it to you, and you'd be kicking yourself for a long time after you sold it. Getting something else later, why, you've already got this now, and if you don't need to sell it then don't do it. Nothing else would measure up to it later if you sold it just because...

I agree, it's not worth selling. It's a very clean original bodied car - you can't find those anymore.

If you do choose to sell it, I would go with what Trunk said. I did the same with my Cobra and someone bought it. I couldn't really get upset because I asked what I felt was a lot and he didn't even negotiate the price. Good luck with your decision - it's going to be a tough one!

Eddie i know that car better than anyone on here, and as ugly as that brown is I have really feel in love with that color(no reggie jokes needed).. I know exactly whats going on like you told me the other day, and I understand if you were to get rid of it, BUT.... with how many fox bodies there are, even notchbacks, think about how many BROWN 79-82 CLEAN ASS, BADASS SOUNDING, BADASS LOOKING mustangs you have saw... Not many, you have one of the most unique mustangs around and short of HAVING to sell it I wouldn;t if I were you. Also, if you decide to sell it, you come to me first. I'm family and I want first dibs if you sell that car. I would hate to see to leave the family. it's just too damn unique to sell if you don't have to. Things will get better, it's been a down year. That doesn't mean it'll always be down. good luck, but remember what i said, i got first dibs on that car..
