online auction trustworthy?

Looking on the sca auction site, I see some eye candy. However, I'm leery of the site as it asks for an upload of your photo I.D or passport and the standard mailing address information. Searching around on the web didnt pop up any major red flags.
Anyone have some experience using the site or know of someone who has used the site?

Was the bid/auction setup like a middleman (negotiating) process? That doesnt seem like it's the case with sca, but I still haven't found much for reviews on them.

That site is a mirror of iaai.com
 
Iaai requires a broker if the bidding is for personal gain, are the brokers secure or risky to deal with?

I think you can still bid on clear title vehicles, but need a broker to use their dealer license to be able to purchase salvage.

I don't have any experience with using a broker, so I wouldn't be of any help.
 
is it worth the "upgrade" fee to bid for online auctions like iaai? Wondering how they can reassure a random guy like myself there are no scamming nor fixed auction sales?
