on the hunt for a diesel 4x4 4 door

Can't justify buying a new diesel but also can't get rid of the ole 7.3. Love it. Little more maintenance than a gasser but after 200,000+ miles so far so good.

First make a List of why you WANT a diesel, then make a list of why you NEED one. Being a heavy equipment and diesel tech I personally would not buy a 6.0 powerstroke unless I was going to dump a boat load of cash into it before it breaks. Head studs egr system delete and tuner is a decent chunk of change esp. if you pay someone to do. not including a general mechanical break down, a new injector (1) ranges from 350 just for the part not including labor. If I absolutely ad to have a diesel it would be a cummins its what is in my work truck and has 360k on it and runs great still has stock injectors only issue has been the dpf and because it is a dot commercial truck we haven't deleted it.

Ive got a 100k mile 6.0 right now. Ive already EGR deleted it. can I sneak head studs in it with everything in the truck or do I have to remove that cab? can I do 1 at a time lol?

Ive already done the y pipe and exhaust. I thought the 6.0 and a tune was a nono ?

Guy I work with does a lot of 6.0 head gaskets. He says a little air harmmer work of the firewall allows you to do gaskets with the cab in place. Not everyone is ok with the firewall abuse.

Well I need to sell my rubicon first. Then probably a gasser for what I am looking to spend

I love my 05 ccsb 6.0! Bulletproofed, blue spring mod, 4" exhaust, cold air intake, stage 2 vgt turbo, larger Warren injectors, glow plugs, fass system, sct4 with custom tunes. I must say she moves like a bat outta hell. There great as long as you maintain them correctly, and use Motorcraft parts.
