Omni glh srt4 swap

jeez... your camera makes me look bald. get the rogaine filter for it.

This project has been a long time coming, but now that the garage/shop is finally ready we can get to work.

Next update will include the removal of the original powertrain.

Small Update: we popped the oil pan and valve cover off to get an idea of what we are up against.

the idiot we got the donor car from was fire selling the car because it mysteriously developed a knock. when we went to look at the car we naturally checked the oil and found it was 4 quarts low.

we made the purchase and then ran to the gas station to grab 4 quarts of oil, filled it up, and drove the car home with no knock.

that being said we knew there was probably damage, we just didnt know how bad it was.

After selling off most of the neon and the rolling shell we ended up getting the engine and trans for free..

we dont know for sure yet, but this possibly means it came from a PT GT originally. or maybe they all say this.

up top it didnt look nearly as bad..

it shouldn't lose steam so long as someone buys the original setup.

its for sale for 2700 and you get everything engine, trans, management, turbo

that money will go a long ways for the new engine build. The current plan is to build the engine to support the later horsepower goals with the Precision 6262, but utilize the stock turbo temporarily maxed out on E85. There are obviously a number of things that will need to be ironed out at first, and all of those things cost money lol.

I believe that the car will be faster than current with a maxed out stock turbo on E85

Well the Power and Drivetrain is sold!

We started the process of removing everything Saturday.

last night we put the engine and trans back together and set the engine in the bay to gauge what we are doing for mounts.

looks like most of the oem mounts line up to the srt4.
