MyGreenZ and I are building an SRT4 powertrain swapped 85 GLH for my brother.

About a year or so ago we purchased a running driving SRT-4 that was in rough shape and parted it out sans the power and drive-train..

Last week we finally decided to get started on the project.

The car sat outside for a year so we had to give it a quick and dirty wash before bringing it in the shop...

Seeing that Omni brings back memories of street racing my friends' on Fort St and at 16th St. Good times back then.

I had a couple of chances to get a GLH one for next to nothing 10 years ago and never did :(

Lol, as with the others I have always wanted one of those, even in original shape they have such a coolness factor IMO.

quick update guys.

Spent about 3 hours in the shop over the weekend. First order of business was to insulate the garage door. we completely insulated the garage about a year ago sans the door, and the door ended up acting like a huge heat-sink.

The kit that home depot sells is about 80 bucks, but we found that a little more work on our end for the same price we could have a much better product.

After we buttoned up the garage door we decided to take pictures and some video of the car running for the coming for sale ad for the power and drivetrain.

there was a substantial amount of time and money invested in this original motor and trans (probably more than anyone's spent on a GLH in over a decade)

anyways here's the video
