I posted one of these up not long ago and got some really good feedback from my fellow Motown friends.

Here's the deal - right now I have my notchback up for sale. I'm thinking I just want to get rid of it, but then I get an email from a guy wanting to trade me for his Grand National. Well, I've always had a weak spot for those cars. Love 'em! Especially if they are really clean and at least somewhat fast. Well, this guy claims this GN is a high-9sec car and the car looks really clean. I'm waiting on more pics from him, but until then I just wanted to see what you guys think.

Some Parts on this car - its a 109 block with billet capps j&e pistons coated crank and rods. alluminum gn1 heads worked with roller cam.precision 6765dbb turbo with xfi tuned by cal heartline with thumb wheel to switch from 4 tunes antitheft, pump gas, alky, and racing gas,new trans with transbreak by extremeautomatics.what kind of motor work has been done to your engine.botomend and heads and cam.

It is a really clean car with a $7k paint job on it. I'm just not sure if it would go as fast as he claims. Furthermore, how fast can you go on a 109 block before you break it? I've heard Bamford has a street GN that goes low-9s on a 109block, but that may just be a rumor.

Would you trade my white, high 8sec turbo notchback for this car?

Now you're getting closer. That car is *almost* as cool as your notch.

Last I heard, Bamfords had posted that they went 9.4x I think with the stock block, which is the fastest I've heard of.

Your notch would destroy the above car in a drag race, but they are pretty close in cool factor.

tempting, I also love gn's and miss mine.... I never seen your notch but just in your avitar it looks sweet. Good luck on your possible trade, both cars will always get respect on the streets wheather its your notch with twins, or this gn

The notchback isn't a twin car. That's another car. Here are some pictures of the notchback so you know what I'm talking about...

Are you really trying to sell the notch or just kind of kicking the idea around and not trying that hard? The notch is a sweet car, I can't figure out why you'd want to get rid of it at all.

i have a weakspot for the gn's but im a performance guy. the notch is way faster and come on its a notch with a turbo mod motor. dan keep the notch

you said in another post you dont have time to drive the notch this coming year, when will you have time to drive the national? id keep the notch for sure. that notch is badass.

Under your particular set of circumstances, I'd have to consider this strictly a financial decision.
Whichever car has the highest resale value I would go for. If it were a decision based on usage?
I'd keep the notch if it were for solo trips or 1 passenger and go with the GN if I were going to pack
up the wife and kids with me for the day.

You should have traded for the other Mustang. That way this thread could have been a "I wish I hadn't traded the notch" ;)
