Official College Football 2015 Thread!

I think OSU would have if they played their "A" game. Unfortunately, they only put their "A" game on display once all season.

Same here. Bama really is the cream of the crop in college football. Clemson gave them a run for their money though.

It's evident after watching Clemson hang with them that MSU shouldn't have even been in the playoff. No big ten team IMO would have hung with Alabama.

scary part, pretty much that entire clemson team is coming back, the way to early ranking for next year are out
1 clemson
2 Bama
3 OSU
4 cant remember
5 Michigan

Yeah Clemson is going to be a contender next season once again for sure.

I saw ESPN had michigan 4th. We're going to be good, but c'mon it's not like we're returning a great starting QB. More than likely it will be a rocky start again next year while Harbaugh develops someone.

If you're going off the ESPN one, they had

1 Clemson
2 Bama
3 Baylor
4 Michigan
5 OK
6 FSU
7 LSU
8 Stanford
9 ND
10 Houston
11 Tenn
12 OSU
13 Ole Miss
14 MSU
15 USC
16 Iowa
17 NC
18 Oregon
19 TCU
20 Washington State
21 UCLA
22 OK State
23 GA
24 Louisville
25 Washington

I think OSU is underrated and UM is over rated. I see UM as 10 right now. OSU should probably be 8 or 9.

Like I said way to early, Bama is to early to call How good they will be , then again with 4 title is 7 years a 2 loos season would be considered a disaster. we have no QB right now, Calvin ripley will be back so the future QB has a great target ,

ESPN has UM at 4

don't forget that Rudock didn't start practicing with the team till August of this year. O'Korn has had a year and a half by the time the first game kicks off. The development curve for O'Korn will be much flatter, but it will be at a high level already. O'Korn also was an amazing QB in his first year. His second was far from inspiring. So there's talent there, it just needs the Harbaugh Touch. Add to that our OOC schedule is very weak. We should have 5 games starting off that shouldn't really have any competition. That will let the team get into a rhythm. We also will have one of the best receiving cores in D1. Add to it Peppers and what should be one of the best if not the best defense and that makes for a very good season. The downside is that any game that should be tough is going to be away with the exception of Wisconsin.

That situation is very strange for a couple reasons.

1. Any other commit int he class was told many times that all things are a competition and we will only take the best of what we have. If they want to ensure their spot, then they need to keep improving or risk losing their spot.
2. There are conflicting stories about what really happened. You have the kid and his family saying this came out of the blue (Which conflicts what other recruits are saying) and you have 'insiders' who say the kid was told months ago his spot was in jeopardy.

unfortunately, the only ones who could provide proof or not of what happened are not allowed to do so. It's a bad look, don't get me wrong, but I find it odd that all the other recruits were clearly told of this. That's why there are recruits leaving now and others are coming in to replace them. I have absolutely no problem with the school pulling an offer if a kid is under-performing. There's no binding agreement between the kid and the school or the school and the kid and there does need to be a level of responsibility that the kid is going to perform at the expected level. I do have a problem if this one kid was somehow suddenly told 2 weeks before NSD that he was no longer wanted. It's just hard to believe that out of all the recruits, this one was the one who didn't get the message and he just so happens to also be the one kid whose performance over the last year has gone backwards the most.

this is probably as close to a statement as we'll get.

for those that don't care to read the story, the kid was not offered by the current staff and committed to hoke. he was asked to camp at michigan so the current staff could evaluate him and he declined. since he didn't camp at michigan he was told he would be evaluated based on his senior season, staff didn't like what they saw so they told him to take visits. it's not like this came out of nowhere, he's probably going to end up at northwestern so i think he'll be just fine. bottom line is harbaugh is not hoke and things are done differently now.

anyone that is familiar with teddy greenstein knows that he's a tremendous douche and northwestern homer. this would be like having rexrode write a column about a kid that was dropped by mich that was now being recruited by msu that rips harbaugh while saying that dantoni is a saint that does things the right way, all while having to the comfort of the coach and school not being able to comment on the situation because he's an unsigned recruit.

So... he was recruited by and committed to Brady Hoke.
He was asked to come up and be evaluated by the new staff but declined
His senior year performance was subpar.
The new staff declined to offer the scholarship

and this is somehow Harbaugh being sleazy? LMAO. Big Ten schools are so shook.

Always trying to rekindle the 'old days'.

Aren't you living in the 'old days' by posting an old ranking? Just sayin...

Best part was the kids high school coach says that they were told in November by Michigan coaches...

Not the same. And this isn't the first time Dantonio has pulled an offer from a commit if that commit started taking visits (Cupp went to Ohio State).

Cupp didn't even have an offer from Ohio State til after Mork pulled his offer. Whatever you gotta say to make yourself sleep at night.
