Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Good luck. It took a miracle last second play to win with MSU's best QB they've ever had this year. Now that he's gone, it's 6-6 for ya

Your STARTING QB got smoked by OSU. We beat OSU with our two back ups in the 'Shoe.

Michigan was a lot closer to 6-6 than you want to admit. The starting QB for BYU was out for the season before they played Michigan, and the coaches at
Indiana and Minnesota gave you gifts. The difference between MSU and UM is that MSU plays for 60 minutes, not 59 minutes and 45 seconds.

Wondering who MSU will play in Indy next December...

Says the guy who's only leads over UM and OSU both came AFTER regulation time expired. You were as close to 6-6 as Michigan was

Has anybody heard from TX yet? Is it over? Last I heard it was 148-0.... I heard Mike Dantonio was going to have a stern talk with his players at halftime

Congrats to MSU on a great season. Truth is, it isn't until you play a 'Bama type team in a game like this that you get a real understanding of the level of competition that they bring, and the speed that they play the game with. Should MSU get in this situation again, they'll be better prepared, just from their experience last night. I've seen OSU in the same situation in a few NC games, and frankly, I was amazed when they put it on 'Bama last year...

That said....

GO BLUE!!

GO BUCKS!!

Alabama rushed four guys on defense and MSU could not handle them. Nobody on the MSU scout team can come close to that in practice.
Dantonio would have better off having guys driving bulldozers rushing the QB during practice to simulate 'Bama.

It won't surprise me if Conner Cook has off season surgery to repair the shoulder. The Alabama pass rush aside, Cook just didn't look right. MSU stood
toe-to-toe with them for a half and the interception and the second half opening drive just took the wind from their sails.

I also blame the coaches. The offensive game plan sucked. The play calling sucked. MSU kept calling running plays on 1st down well into the 3rd Quarter.
There was nothing original, nothing fresh to give Alabama to think about. In a lot of ways, this looked a lot like last years game in Oregon.

Go Gators!

Cook said he was 100% but didnt look like it, first few hits he took seemed to take something off the ball,

Michigan looking strong at the moment. Our d needs to step up a couple more times to put this away

MSU got embarrassed by a superior Alabama team. Not much else to say about it. I don't think there's a team in the B1G that would have fared any better. Iowa would have been murdered, and OSU would struggle as well. Michigan...well, they'd be down 38-0 before the half.

I'll root for U of M and OSU today. Notre Dame is looking overrated, so I'm glad they're finally being ousted. Florida can't kick a ball, so Michigan doesn't have worry about them scoring from inside the 30.

I swear you guys are so stupid. Michigan pretty much controlled MSU throughout their entire game, and only lost on perhaps the greatest miracle in college football history.... and yet somehow they'd fare significantly worse against Alabama? Nice logic

Oh well. Michigan went out on New Years and laid the smack down on their SEC opponent. MSU got their shit pushed in while millions watched

LOL, not

Michigan and Ohio State doing their best to save face for the B1G after that giant green turd last night

Both OSU and UM came up B1G today. Personally, I just plain can't stand ND.....and all their self-righteous bullshit. They can go 6-6, and still be ranked in the top 10 when next years polls come out.

Congrats to UM on their win over a clearly overmatched Florida team. Nice ending to a great rebound season.

As for MSU making the B1G look bad....I really don't think their blowout loss did that. Sorry Tom, no disrespect here, but most knowledgeable fans will agree that OSU was the class of the B1G this year, and would have matched up much better against the Tide, having pass the acid test last year. No excuses for the fluke loss to MSU, but nobody really felt that 'Bama was playing the #1 B1G team, and the score proves that point.

Well, you're eliminating 90% of the Spartan slappies with that condition.... but perhaps that's why I (and many of the Michigan fans) will agree with you. OSU had the most skilled team in the B1G by far this year. Coaching and a few other blunders hindered them, but they were definitely the best team in the conference again this year.

Yeah, because my first sentence admitted we were overmatched. I didn't have high hopes going in, but I also think you're delusional. U of M kept MSU in the game and didn't play 60 minutes. That's rec league shit you learn in elementary school. Play the full game, don't leave anything to chance. Wanna win the game? Win the game by more than one score. Not sure how much more fucking clear I need to be.

Michigan would have been RAPED by Alabama. They got burned by OSU, and the Buckeyes aren't on the same level as Bama. I do, however, think OSU would have been compatible in performance or better than MSU last night.

Florida couldn't kick a field goal. That makes defensive planning much easier. Congrats on winning the game. More money for the B1G to share.

Looks like Iowa is in store for a long game too...

You notice I said this year. The Buckeyes will have their hands full next year, having lost a few key players, and with Harbaugh having UM looking like the team we're used to seeing, it's bound to be an exciting season.

I'm curious to see where OSU/UM/MSU will end up in the rankings....With MSU getting blown out, I wonder how over-rated they'll be considered.

Damn....Iowa is down three touches after the 1st quarter? Maybe OSU and UM really are the top two teams in the B1G this year. No wonder nobody cared about the Championship game....;)

So again, explain to me how two teams whose game came down to the very final play would have had vastly different outcomes against Alabama? Cause, ya lost me there....

Well, it was the most fun I have had in the 25 years of being a Spartan. I was class of 94 and 90 - 94 was a brutal 4 years for football. This year we beat Oregon, Michigan, OSU, and Iowa at the BiG title game (which I went to for the first time). Unfortunately we ran into a bigger and stronger team that we just were unable to match. 2015 will go down as one of the best. I would rather see us in the hunt for the national championship and get beat that not in the hunt at all. Great year and looking forward to 2016. Happy New Year!

Came here for some friendly shit talking, but apparently this isn't the place for it anymore. Yeesh.

Because you don't make enough money. It's science.

On a side note, the meteor never struck the ND OSU game which was the only outcome I would have been happy with. That being said, the fact that OSU screwed themselves out of the playoff while blatantly being the best team in the B1G is enjoyment enough for me.
