Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Jim, MSU is a crippled team. UM is reasonably healthy. Yes, MSU was extremely lucky on that last play. MSU started two true freshmen at safety. A third of the offensive line was shifted to other positions. 1/3 of the starters are out for the year. And yet we were still in position to take advantage a Michigan miscue. Do I still think MSU has a shot at a National Title? Not really. Do I think they can beat OSU? Possible. But even if they make the playoff, I think they'd be exposed by TCU, Baylor or Alabama.

But I did see reasons to be optimistic. With our starters back, I think we're as tough as anyone in the country. Youngsters getting playing time now will make them that much better next year. I hope Skunkbear Nation realizes MSU (or OSU) is not going away just because Harbaugh is coach. I can't wait until Damion Terry is the QB next year...

If your answer is "A win is a win", you're losing. Hence the reason noone is taking OSU seriously and why MSU isn't in the playoff picture.

Clearly then, you didn't watch the OSU-PSU game yesterday. I see Barrett taking the reins over at QB, which makes them quite explosive. I still think UM may win The Game just on sheer emotion, but UM would do well to take the buckeyes seriously.

See you and your boys in November.....

The PSU game was their first real game to show up on all 3 sides of the ball. unfortunately, OSU's schedule only gets easier till the last 2 weeks, so there's no real way to see what they really have.

This game was lost by michigan, no doubt. We're the better team and we didn't put Sparty away when we needed to. Our offense is anemic, as everyone knew, but when it came down to it, we just didn't make the big plays that were needed. The officiating though was absolutely the worst I've ever seen on both sides, though the impact on Michigan was far greater. If the game had been called even partially correctly, the score with 10 minutes left would have been a 9 point game, not a 2. Doesn't excuse Michigan from not taking control of their own destiny. MSU's secondary got shown for what it really is, very weak. OSU is going to trash them there. Their O-line is pretty weak too. Their special teams is possibly the worst in Div 1 football. MSU will lose to OSU and may lose to PSU if they get their act together. I said at the beginning of the season UM would beat either OSU or MSU but I thought it would be MSU. We did beat MSU, but decided to hand them the win in the end anyway. That means OSU will now have to come in and I guarantee we won't lose on a punt fluke with a 1/500 chance of occurring.

As an aside, how hard it is to spell your teams player names right? I mean it's Miller, it's not a tough name.

The Miler jersey was pretty funny. Wonder how they got that fixed so fast.

Statistically, MSU dominated the game, so it's tough to say UM lost it, and not that MSU won it.....

If Barrett, Miller, and Elliott can gel together consistently, they'll put up some serious points. No matter how the year plays out, it's been a great year to be a fan of the Big 3.

SCOREBOARD!

Michigan State 27, Michigan 23

A lot of class here...Who's secondary was riddled for over 300 yards? The O-line is weak? There was a lot more pressure on Ruddock than there was on Cook. And while our special teams has not been stellar, they didn't allow a touchdown yesterday...

Close game. To the Michigan fans saying they had it in the bag, my response is simple: don't keep it so close so botched plays can result in a loss. It was an ugly win for MSU, but it's still a win.

To the Michigan fans who burned couches in AA, and to those who sent death threats and suicide requests to the punter (who is damn talented), stay classy. Keep blowing Capt. Khaki and lets see where you finish this year.

Nope auburn 104 or 106 yrds against bama

Ken I agree with you that ending was insane. But I think the ending yesterday was even more improbable. Reason I say that is kickoff returns for a TD are fairly common....they happen every week. Of course the extra pressure of that game made it unreal especially as time expired. But to muff/block a punt and return it for a TD is much more rare.

MSU put all their eggs in the basket, they didn't even have a return man to return the punt.
