Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Michigan was up 31-0 against a ranked "very good team" at halftime. MSU was only up by 7 with 8 min to go in the game vs a MAC team.

Those are the facts of the day

which is why MSU is not the 2nd best team in the nation and why I pick them to lose to Um this year.

It's fun to play the "Way back machine" with Swifts posts.

It will be interesting to see which QB gets the honor of getting buried in the backfield every week.
- 4 games in and Ruddock has been sacked once.

No QB, no offensive live, no defensive line...I think 6-6 is the best UM can hope for.
- I'd say they have a QB. O line has let the least amount of sacks this season (MSU has allowed 3 which puts them in 7th in the B1G), and UM is 8th in the B1G in rushing per game (ahead of MSU who is 12th). Michigan is 3rd in the B1G with an average of 93.3 yards per game allowed rushing (MSU is 10th with 140). As an aside, UM is 3rd in Total defense allowing 236 YPG while MSU is 11th allowing 414 YPG. Looks like your prediction that Um wouldn't have a Dline, Oline or QB are all wrong.

You guys are going to be sooooo disappointed...
- correct. i was disappointed it wasn't 56 - 0.

But I'm realistic. I see BYU as a very good team, ranked 22nd. And I see Michigan as a middle of the road B1G team. To me, that doesn't equate to Michigan being a 7 point favorite. Beating Oregon State and UNLV does nothing to say Michigan has improved since playing Utah. It means they beat up two very poor teams. They took care of business.
As already pointed out, it looks like MSU is more the middle of the pack team so far. Having barely beat teams they should have "Took care of business against" with an established team on a very familiar system.

From the look of Oregon right now there's a better chance of MSU having a 7 win season than Michigan.

Michigan is now the favorite based on FPI to win the remainder of their games till the OSU game.

UM played very well, that's for sure, and with Utah whooping on Oregon, that can only help their cause. While I applaud their early success, as usual, the talking heads are already doing some heavy UM nut-swinging. Maybe they should let them get to 8~9-1 before everybody starts sucking each other dicks. It's been that way for years, and now is no different.

Things are looking good for some great games down the road, which can only be good for the B1G, no matter who your team is.

I agree to a certain degree. I believe UM is going to go into the game with at most 1 loss and it won't be from MSU. Injuries and an overinflated ranking will be MSU's downfall.

Harbaugh will have his boys pumped for both MSU and OSU, and they're both at home. Sorry Tom, one, or both of our teams is coming out of there with a loss. If The Game were in the Horseshoe, I'd feel better about their chances. We'll see how it plays out. MSU first...that game will answer some questions. At PSU and Minn. won't be a cakewalk either.

I can't say I want Bo back. But Riley looks like the coach fans thought he was rather than the one all the experts hyped him up to be.

Bo certainly got the most out of the players he had. His best teams were with Callahan's guys (Suh, etc). Riley is showing what Bo's guys do without his coaching and scheme, I guess. Maybe he will get better with a full recruiting class or two of his own guys? I don't know, but it looks BAD right now. Most shocking to me is I don't think penalties have improved at all. Tommy Armstrong certainly has looked better but man, that OT interception against Miami?!?

Ugh, long season well under way.

By the looks for it, Oregon is a 7-5 team! Utah, who Michigan lost to by a TD blasted them by 40? That doesn't say much about MSU win now....
