Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Looking forward to Utah's smack down of Michigan on Thursday night. I already have the fixings for the queso dip. Also looking forward to the MSU game at Western. So glad football is back!

At Western?! Since when did Big Ten teams start playing at MAC schools?

MSU agreed on a 4 game package with the three Michigan MAC schools. Each will get a game at their school and will play three at MSU. MSU played at Central already. They'll still have to play at EMU. It was a way to thank the schools for being yearly foder...

Not that I think MSU is going to lose, but Western isn't going to just fall over. They should have a decent team.

we have 7 top 25 ranked teams on schedule right now Georgia and Auburn on the road, I predict 1-2 losses,
Most likely Georgia on the road, if the loss comes early a one loss season if it comes late Tennesee or LSU then 2 losses, a one loss season and we still make the playoffs

I posted 2 predictions, first time ive ever done one, season comes down to the Georgia game also I think Saban has 3-4 years left before he retires

At least Harbaugh acted civilized during post game handshake...

The only player who impressed was Jake Butt, the TE.

There are some bright points and some questionable areas. QB is still a huge question. 2nd quarter Ruddock was liveable. he wasn't superstar level, but much better than we've had in the past. The first Int was the receivers fault. The other 2 likely fell on Ruddock, though the 3rd could also be the receivers fault. Either way, we saw a much improved team over last year. It was steady consistent movement. Utah has a very stout run defense, so I wasn't too surprised when we couldn't run the ball. A little more finesse on the throws and that games is a complete different outcome. Not happy with the loss, but not devastated by it as we looked like a team. We actually managed to put the right number of players on the field for special teams. More than we can say for Hoke's teams.

Peppers took a minute or two to warm up, but once he did, he was quite outstanding. I still stick to my earlier prediction. This team will get better week by week. They have a pretty easy schedule for the next couple week, so working out issues shouldn't be as impactful as it was this week.

Another thing to note, we didn't allow a single sack. Utah last year was one of the best in the the nation at sacks and they didn't lose all that much on their defensive line. So while we couldn't run (Someone needs to check smith's peripheral vision as he missed some wide open areas where he ran into the pile) we also didn't let Ruddock get hammered. That is going to be key for the season. Last year, Gardner spent most of his time running for his life. Ruddock was rushed sometimes, but overall he had the time he needed to make the play.

Michigan is thin. It'll take a couple years to rebuild. They are not as bad off as Purdue, but if anyone gets hurt, especially on the offensive line, they are toast. They are MSU from 10 years ago. I don't see the them beating BYU.

Now, does that mean they will be as bad as last year? Nope. But beating MSU or OSU? They way they played last night? Not a chance. Don't get me wrong, Utah doesn't suck. But they are not ranked either.
