Official College Football 2015 Thread!

This Rosenberg guy didn't check his sources. Just at a glance, I see 1 person who is not a Michigan player in Michigan's list and one player who was never arrested. I'm sure doing more digging will show other problems. What they should really address is what happened after the arrest happens. Are they dismissed or brought back. Many are repeat offenders. This article is a complete waste as it doesn't address anything other than that there's data on a website somewhere.

The marching band is directly relative to the football team and the data wasn't false. A false report including blatant wrong data isn't relative at all. Beside, according to you, the police don't arrest UM players, so obviously this whole report is false.

I'm not sold that UM loses to PSU. I think the game in happy valley will be tough. I can see them losing to Utah, but feel with the hype and momentum going for them right now they come out winners.

The MSU or OSU game is swappable. I feel MSU is the easier win than OSU.

I finally dug into the data. Of Michigan's 14 listed 'arrests' 8 were citations (Speeding tickets and the sort). MSU has no reported citations. UM has less arrests than MSU. If you eliminate the non player from the list it's by 2. It should be noted that MSU is currently in a lawsuit for failure to release data based on FOI. These requests interestingly all involve criminal investigations (including the rape that was covered up).

My preseason predictions for the year. And for the record, when your best quarterback is playing at wide receiver, the other team has the advantage...

I think MSU vs OSU will be #1 OSU vs #2 MSU

1) MSU
2) Alabama
3) OSU
4) TCU

OSU is looking for trouble in their opener. They just lost one of their top WR options to a leg injury. Noah Brown is out for the season (most likely). On top of that, they lose Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson, and Corey Smith to suspensions. They graduated Evan Spencer and Devin Smith. 4 of the top 5 options they had at WR are gone. Braxton is going to really have to play up at WR or this game could become really one dimensional and potentially another loss. They lose to VT 2nd year in a row and I don't see the playoff committee being as forgiving as last year.

Another interesting fact.

Going back, there is only 1 coach who did not beat OSU in their first year. Rich Rod. Every other UM coach has beaten OSU in their first game. Conversly, Bennie Oosterbann is the only UM coach to beat MSU in his first year. He's the only coach to beat both MSU and OSU in his first year. All other coaches lost their first game to the Spartans. I still think MSU loses and OSU wins, but it is an interesting trend.

Oosterban beat both MSU and OSU in his first year (9-0 record in 1st year).
Bump beat OSU, but lost to MSU 34-8 (4-5 record in 1st year).
Bo, well, I think we all know he beat OSU, but lost to MSU 23-12 (8-3 in 1st year).
Moeller beat OSU, but lost to MSU 28-27 (9-3 in 1st year).
Lloyd beat OSU, but lost to MSU 28-25 (9-4 in 1st year).
Rich Rod lost to OSU, and lost to MSU 35-21 (3-9 in 1st year).
Hoke beat OSU, but lost to MSU 28-14 (11-2 in 1st year).

wow somebody is a little optimistic this year

wow somebody is a little optimistic this year

This IS the year, or they will have to wait until 2017(?). The QB is there. The lines are there. There is talent everywhere. We'll find out about
the secondary in game 2. No reason they can't beat every team on their schedule. They were the best team in the nation at the end of 2013.
But this Spartan team can play with anybody, including Alabama. It Alabama hadn't chickened out about playing MSU in 2016 and 2017...

It's funny, but any Spartan fan would have been ecstatic with a 10-2 season 10 years ago. This year 10-2 would be disappointing.
