Good kids, those Spartans

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan State says running back Delton Williams is returning to the Spartans this fall as a non-scholarship athlete.

Williams was suspended from the team in March, shortly after being arraigned on a charge of brandishing a firearm in public. He later pleaded guilty to a reduced weapons charge, according to court records.

Michigan State says Williams violated a university ordinance by possessing a weapon on campus. Coach Mark Dantonio said Williams has satisfied the expectations of the school's student conduct system, the court and the football program.

Williams ran for 316 yards last season as a sophomore, finishing third on the team in rushing behind seniors Jeremy Langford and Nick Hill.

Williams says he wants to apologize to the entire Spartan family, and he appreciates the opportunity to return.

That's the problem with UM fans. Always trying to rekindle the 'old days'. Just admit your football team sucks. Enjoy your 6-6 season.
 
of all of the players to highlight and shout out in a hype video... they pick Frank Clark, a guy who was dismissed from the team?
 
Sorry, but the guy was dismissed from the team for domestic violence. He deserves no place in a highlight video for the upcoming season, let alone being the ONLY player highlighted in such a manner.

Nice strawman, but typical of an OSU fan I suppose. Funny though I bet if the song was mocking cops dying you'd be in an uproar about respect and how bad these kids all need to learn a lesson.
 
Jim, it's hard for a UM fan to get excited about the upcoming 6-6 season. So you get Ryan and Mike trying to find flaws in the OSU and MSU programs. And of course the football team as all kinds of power over the marching band...
 
Nice to see UM made the Top 25 in something. The Top 25 in arrests over the last 5 years. They are #19 with 14 arrests. MSU has had 7 in the same period. Stay classy Michigan...
