And in other news......

Seriously.....you guys kill me....Lmao!

Jim Harbaugh hired mom of transfer considering Michigan

You do realize her son is enrolled at Stanford and is still under scholarship there right? even if he transferred there, we're talking about hiring a qualified person for a job that has been posted. She was quite successful at SFE as the team mom when they won a national title there. Her son, shared starting duties and a 1 year gain from a player is far from anything to make a big deal about or give out jobs. I'm sure they could assure a student that an assistant coach would be there than pull the rug out after he sends his non-compete paperwork in...

1) Weber didn't have to send in his LOI on Wednesday. You sign with the University, not the coaches. Meyer could 'retire' at the end of the year and a kid who'll be redshirted anyways can cry some more. McDowell didn't send in his LOI to MSU last year until the last day he had to.

2) Most schools will make 50-60 offers to kids. How many accept? While MSU doesn't have 9 gray shirts, they do have one. That player will count against the 2016 class. Ohio State is THE University of Ohio. Kids DREAM of playing there. Michigan and Michigan State are always going to get scraps out of Ohio. I think the only way MSU got LJ Scott was because he has the opportunity to play right away.

3) Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Does anyone in Ann Arbor want cheese with their whine.

Well....Here's an unbiased slant on the Weber recruiting situation. I'll highlight a few points that the UM faithful have conveniently omitted. The fact that his hs coach is a former UM player explains why he's so butt-hurt and feels the need to take full advantage of his 15 minutes of non-anonymity.

By God....We're the University of Michigan...(aka Hypocrisy U).

i don't know who wrote that article but unless something happened to damon webb tOSU has 3 cass tech players on their team.

I didn't write the headline.....Just reposted it. It is what it says....If it comes across as a questionable tactic....that's for the readers to decide...:dunno:

As for pulling the rug out, coaches leave all the time, get over it. Sorry your Savior took the first slug, or maybe you missed the article about the 5 teams whose recruiting tanked the most. Yup...your squad was on it. Fact is, OSU is the undisputed National Champion, and small people will always take whatever shots they can at those on top. It's been a generation since UM was even so much as a co-champ, and Harry Truman was president last time they won one outright.

Maybe Urban should have tweeted Harblow his own quote: "To the victor belong the spoils"

But again, By God we're Michigan....:bowrofl:

The fact that beat reporters sat on the information is indicative of a bait and switch. Let's be honest, if you had a kid you'd approach this differently. This isn't just about Weber. The kid in Texas had the same problem. This is a problem as a whole not just with osu. Osu is dumb enough to let it become a national story. You'd think Dave Brandon was running the pr department right now.

As for gray shirting ... Osu isn't just doing that. They announced that 3 players who were healthy enough to dress for the National championship and have played just fine left for unspecified medical reasons. That's not telling some incoming kid hell have to shell out whatever it costs for the first semester at osu when he was told before he would have a free tuition.

So you posted something without researching it. Something becoming a pandemic around here.

First off do you know how big Michigan class was supposed to be this year? You do realize they hit the size they were supposed to to not have to yank scholarships from players or inform them they have to pay for a semester of college them self. Harbaugh did better than urban did in his first class. Considering the amount of time he had compared to harbaugh (over a month extra). So let's stop with the speculation and dumb comments. The fact is that dantonio and harbaugh are hitting the trail for 2016 and the first thing they are telling every recruit they meet is Meyer is a liar and can't be trusted.

Research? Well, yes, I read the article. The only pandemic is the "tweaking to suit" storylines from our neighbors up North. Outside of UM's delusional fan base, no one really gives two hoots about the Weber situation. They know OSU has a handle on it, and MSU fans are delighting in Harbaugh getting his nose tweaked by Meyer. You guys can thump your chest once you've won something. Until then, it's just more white noise......:blahblah:

5 CFB programs whose recruiting rankings tanked the most this year

T-3. Michigan

2014 Composite: 20

2015 Composite: 38

Difference: -18

As for how your Savior recruits, if all he has to offer is a smear on another school, you guys are in for another decade of dominance. I'm good with that if you are...;)

The AHI? (the Adjusted Harbaugh Index?) I'm not a believer in recruiting rankings, but when is 40 better than 8 or 20? Is this some new Michigan math? Was James Franklin invited to the summit meeting where B1G recruiting policy was made? The funny part is that Hoke's first recruiting class was Top 20. It's a FACT that Harbaugh's recruiting class wasn't even half as good as Hoke's (if you are a believer in recruiting rankings).

You don't know how to read do you? Who said anything about class rankings?

Number of recruits in the period in the job. Again Michigan was already slated for a small class because of the large classes Hoke took.

Sorry....I'm failing to make the connection here....:dunno:

A few malcontents blow things out of proportion because their team drew the short straw....How does that make me insensitive?....:headscrat

I guess if my team was 1-10 against their biggest rival I'd be grasping at straws too......

Ohio State is going to have to pull scholarships from kids that they have offered them too. 91 commits, only 85 scholarships to give out. Don't you find that just the least bit unappealing?

This has been common place in the SEC for a long time. Its one of the reasons they recruit better than the Big 10. It has always been common place in all Big 10 schools to not over recruit and pull scholarships on kids that have been offered them. Usually they're a few short and offer the remaining one or two to walk ons. Like Michigan is this year. They had 83 or 84 commits. A walk on will get a full scholarship.

It's a pretty shitty thing to do to the kids.

It's always a good story when that walk on works his way into a scholarship too. Giving walk ons that little extra motivation can only help the program in the long run. Lots of walk ons turn into NFL players and lots of 5 stars are total busts.

Do all of you realize that recruiting ranking do depend on the number of recruits that you bring in? A class of 25 3*s will be ranked higher than a class of 14 4*s.
