Official 2010 Michigan State Football thread

as if we didn't see this coming

Barring a major turn around, MSU is dead. not to say we didn't see this coming.

ummmm........don't look now slappies, but there's another blowout game that everbody saw coming. yup, the UM collapse. i'd say there's less shame in losing big to the defending national champs, in a bsc game, with the defending heisman trophy winner, than getting blown out in a second rate bowl game by a nobody..... but, i'm sure you'll all find a way to rationalize that ending 7-6, is better than being 11-2. here's a thought: better get back to your own camp. crickets are already over-running your pathetic excuse of a football thread...........

congratulations sparty, on a great season, and being in a bcs game!!...(has um ever even been in a bcs game? much less a bcs championship game) maybe if mike ever shows his face on here again, he'll answer that for me............

This was the highlight of the game...

That's the Marching Band BEFORE the game....

This game was BAD. I've seen blowouts, but not like this. This was total and complete dominance. The offensive line was horrible. -48 yards rushing? Extremely embarrassing. They didn't belong in a BCS game, and quite frankly, beat someone in a bowl game before saying you should be in a BSC game. MSU was able to move the ball, but not before running the ball into the line on first and second down. At some point, you need to pass to set up the run and that wasn't done.

OK, now a question; The play where Cousins was hit while throwing the ball and was call for intentional groung...WTF? How was this explained away on TV. I DVR'ed the game, but I think I'll need to be drunk before I watch it... :(

A reciever was in the area, I think they meant arena it was a bad call

dude....really? Capitol one bowl is NOT a Bcs game...

Rose bowl
Fiesta bowl
orange bowl
Sugar bowl
National champinship game

Those are the bcs games. I figured a Ohio st. fan would know that being as you guys win the big 10 every year.....

After a day to calm down, I will say the embarassment still stings. But, as I've mentioned before, here and with the Lions, it all comes down to improvement. 11-2 sure beats 6-7 even when you get your ass kicked on national TV. With the amount of seniors they'll be losing, I don't think they'll be 11-1 going into bowl season next year. But I'd gladly take a 9-3 record (OSU, UW, Neb) and a bowl win.
