[OFFICAL] Forza 3 Picture Thread

I like that one. That's the one I recently started using. The set up I was running last night came from that. Based on what Shaun said about camber, I'm 99% sure that the same people that run that site made his app.

I really only have been using it on cars that drive evil. If a car is driving decent out of the box I go into test drive and work on getting even tire temps. and just fine tuning a bit.

There was a bunch of discussion last night on applications for setting up the suspension settings for F3. I came across this flash-based version of the calculator. I do not know how well this version compares to the iphone app Shaun was talking about, but it's worth a try. I will be trying this out tonight to see how effective it is.

I'm not impressed with their numbers just looking at them on paper. I threw in the details from the 70 Stang from last night and they did some funky stuff in that calc. Softened up the back springs too much, stiffened up the front sway bar too much, moved brake bias to 48% (favoring rear brakes), the allignment numbers were a total toss in the dark....

Why would you want the rear brakes working harder on a car that has 54% of its weight over the front tires??? :shake:

LMK what car you're running or gift it to me and I'll build a setup for ya. Then, you can tell me which one you like better (reality check for me  ).

I always use bench marking to set brake bias still
Typically, the more centered the braking is, the better. But if you ever hit the brakes when the wheel isn't straight....too much in the back isn't a good thing. That's why there's a little compromise that needs to be done IMO. Not all tracks have a straight brake zone. Also, tire pressure has a lot to do with 60-0 and 100-0 times (or whatever they are). You can see a 10+ foot difference just by changing pressures....and it's all over the map between 25 and 35 psi. 33 psi might have you stop in 190ft, 33.5psi will jump to 195, 30 might be 193......

Bench marking almost always lends itself to a little bit of front bias. It passes the sense check and seems to work out ok which is why I use it. I don't use it to set tire pressure, just brake bias.

Forza does not accuratly model brake balance its biased towards the front 48% front is closer to 50/50 in real life, its making up for a short coming in the game

For brake bias I usually go 55% front.

WAYYYYYY to much, no wonder you cant stop very fast.

Did you notice how much better that camaro stopped. ya, no go check how I set the brakes.

plus you had the brakes WAY over boosted too thats why you get ABS and lockup so much you had it at like 110% i put it down to 90%

Jeff anything I am saying about making up for forza does not apply to you. you do not need to maximize your cars you are already too damn fast

Wait, so if I go a little closer to 50/50 and drop the brake percentages down to the low 90's.... :D

Albert was definitely doing it wrong with 110%, ABS or no ABS, you don't want to make the brakes more touchy in that game ever.

If I were going to generically set brake bias for all cars to one number, it would probably be more like 52-53 than 55.
