Are there and products or knowledge on a how to plug in a obd2 device that could receive data and alter that data then feed it to a obd2 reader?
Example would be, if you are traveling at 80 MPH at 3000rpm and plug in the device in between the port and reader the reader will display 40mph and 1500 rpm.
Anything out there that can simulate this?

I thought b/c of the way the data is handled splitting the OBD port will not work.

ex. guys running an OBD-2 scan guage and wanting to log with HPtuners will not work.

There is a write up on the HPT fourm about splitting the OBD port...

Oh you mean like so you can spoof those stupid ass insurance devices? ;) Oh and I do stuff like that all the time on the bench problem is the hardware/software is cost prohibitive in 99% of the circumstances.

That would be another plus lol
