the Intrepid is in drydock for referbishment right now

the USS Growler Stratigic Missile sub is there as well

they have the Concord on a barge, but they used to have a frigate there

Yes but S.C. Is much closer to N.C. than N.Y.

so being the loyal navy kid i am, i went over to west street this morning to see the ships schweet.

I love tugboats. They're cute.

Oh man, manning the rail's thats something I dont miss. That would be all the Navy doods standing at the rail... bleh.

Acutally thats a Bouy Tender. It cant really 'tug' all that much, but it can plop in and pull out a ton of those red / green navigational beacons.


I have been to Fleet Week in San Fran... Thats about a week of my life I dont remember (nearly EVERY local bar showed support for the sailors by offering up a couple free drinks!).

Many, if not most, Corvette guys want it both ways: drive them and still want to keep the mileage low. lol Maybe Emile too.

I hope you, Ken, Alex and the other vette people whose names I can't remember due to Alzheimers LOL will be there, too. There's also a Fbody 40th anniversary show and a 50th anniversary show for the 57 Chevrolet on the same day also at the GM Tech Center.
