Finally took the white car out on Friday. (in picture <----) My first time ever on a drag strip. Exciting to say the least. The car performed better than the driver!
A special thank you to my brother, PacecarBBC, for all his help and time working on the car, especially the suspension.
Another special thank you to my Dad for putting together an awesome motor. It took some persuading but I got him to put together another Ford motor for me.
RT's? Slow even for a blind man.
Run 1: 6.66 sec 109.7 mph
Run 2: 6.65 sec 95.99 mph (it helps when the drive shifts out of 2nd)
Run 3: 6.59 sec 108.92 mph
Run 4: 6.36 sec 111.88 mph
All runs were 1/8th mile. More than enough for my first runs (ever). We didn't have to put a wrench to either my car or Sydney's car the whole day.
The best part of the day was watching my niece in her junior dragster. She is a natural!
