Thanks, it's the only toy I have left lol. If you have Buick stuff drop me a pm with what you have and I'll see if I can use it. I have a few extra things sitting around just in case I get the itch to turn up the wick
 
What method did you use to modify the manifolds? Preheat with Ni filler rod, or?
Where did you end up mounting the power steering pump and generator?

the car is manual steering so I cut that part away and im using the stock alt bracket I just need to clean it up and bolt it on. the manifolds have a ton of steel in them just cut them where you want and mig weld them up they weld perfectly and don't crack.
 
the camaro was cool but the full tub and no rear seat killed it for me. if it was stock suspension id still have it.
 
finally got to make some runs on the car.


1st run I was just going to run easy and got lined up to an open header car and couldn't hear shit so I had to drive by the gauges. left at 2000 rpm no boost the car builds boost from about 50 ft out until 2nd gear shift.

all runs were 10 to 10.5 # boost 11* timing 93 pumpgas no meth low 10s afr

1.74 60'
7.08 1/8 @102.50 mph
10.81 @128.67 mph


2nd run

torqued it up a little more.
1.79 60'
7.08 @102.88
10.79 @130.32 mph


3rd run was a waist as just as I was going to use my launch control the guy running the track opened my door and said 1/8 mile only due to no cage he got me off my game and I didn't get a good start so I just cruised thru.

last run I ran like the first two foot breaking to 2000

ran another 7.09 at 102.50

I have some things to work on . my breaks will only let me get to 2000 without spinning but I need a good 2500 for boost and I didn't get to try my launch control so maybe next time.

all in all it was a great first outing and the car worked perfectly. love the ls turbo power.
 
Sorry on shutting u down I let u make two 1/4 passes with no cage so had to give you your slow down or run 1/8 mile warning. Car runs good!!
 
no problem. i knew it was coming

the car ran better than i thought. being the first time out with it.

i have a 6 pt setup at home i just need to get it in there. thanks.
 
10.80's on pump gas dam sam that's a runner

if all you want is a 10 second bracket car ... toss a 6 point roll bar in it and call it a day

consider running E85 ?
