Not bad for a pump gas penis extender.

The 7s was from Ross Smith in his Willys Part Deux.

It was good to see some of the old school Mopar clan out there today.

Must have been some water at the line.

Actully the rubber/vht wore off later in the day, just about every slick car either spun or had tire shake. It would have been nice to have some of that powder/vht they use to lay down since norwalk wont reprep with out big $$$$
next time...

The left lane was being used by street tire cars, regular street radials hurt the prep of the track. I made one of the last passes of the day right around 4 in the right lane, my car went its best ET ever.

I leared a lesson while working the starting line. Don't pick up a random bottle and take a big whiff of the fumes coming from it. :icon_eek: The bottle said VHT and I was smelling it to make sure it was VHT because I was going to put it on those bare spots. It wound up being paint thinner. :puke: Since I expected it to have the sweet, non-toxic smell of VHT I inhaled deeply and about started choking. Stupid, stupid move. :( I can't even imagine how many brain cells I killed and I need all the brain cells I can get!

Actually we were running the same times, the car was repeating 10.45, on my last pass it went a 10.40 at 129. The car ran strong all day, in the morning i was going 10.50, so we made some suspenion changes and the car started working well. I need to get another tenth out of the car, it was designed to run a Max wedge super stock class, that is a 10.50 index. Meaning i have to run 10.50 all the time. Right now on a hot crappy day it probably still won't run the number. Next time ill have to leave the exhaust at home.

I built that big 63 white ford galaxie over the winter. that ran good for 4200 pounds. We need to put a different rear end gear in it and it should get with it. I think we can turn the 12.20 into an 11.60 fairly easily.

Had an awesome time, great event. worked great for me, i could make a pass, stop at the trailer, make a change, and shoot back up to the line. Its good to go out with people just looking to have a fun day, some people take this stuff way too serious.

Thanks again
matt
