ProFWD current record is 7.27 and there are several cars that have run 7.30's. Fastest non-backed-up pass was a 7.12. Fastest mph is 202. Last NHRA race the final qualifying spot (6 car field) was 7.8 - the class has been very interesting to follow this year.

Pro Mod is 5.90's for the record I believe. It is not listed as a class on the NHRA website though since they don't run a full schedule.

I went and looked up the Pro Mod after I posted that, there are 5 cars or so that have hit 5's as of April of this year. Scott Cannon, Jr. was the latest to have done it and the last entry into the 5 second club (one of those things were the club was the first few people to do it).

Pretty crazy that the FWD cars have dropped that much time in 3 years. 7.12 still seems a ways off from a 6 but when you drop that much in 3 years I guess it doesn't seem so far. Pro Stocks ran low 7's for years before one finally got in the 6's.

Keep in mind the FWD stuff is still in its infancy, so things are moving a lot quicker than Pro Stock. Then again, Pro Stock has really stepped it up the last 2 years.

The other kicker is that 7.12 pass was off-power past ~1000ft. Ladwig left with a late light and Carlson crashed in front of him. He ran the 7.12 avoiding the crash.
