I just went to start my 93 Ford Mustang it has been sitting for couple months now it will not star up. I have an MSD 6al on it. I did pull the wire from the cap to the coil to check for spark but no spark. Could my MSD or coil went bad? Or both?

Rotor. Not motor. The dist drive gear roll pin may have broke. Does it have really thick oil in it?

Spark does not come from the rotor, it from the coil to the wire than to the cap.
almost correct, spark goes from coil through wire to the center of the cap where its transfered to tthe rotor then it directs it to each individual plug wire via the cap.if the roll pin sheared off the rotor wont spin and wont ditribute spark to each wire.good luck

Sorry I don't know too much about this spark stuff. So if I were to unplug the coil wire to see if there any spark if I don't see any spark from the coil wire than the coil are bad right? Or my MSD box are bad? What or how I can check if my coil or MSD box are bad? Sorry guy I'm a very slow at this. Thanks for the time.

Hang on. Before you get too far into this. Start by checking voltage going to the MSD box. Make sure you have 12 volts and a good ground. If it sat a while you could have corrosion build up at the ground.

I would also recommend checking spark plug wires for spark rather than the coil wire into the distributer. You will get one heck of a jolt from the wire into the distributer. The plug wire can only bite you once per revolution! LOL

Just got the car started, found out that the EEC relay was bad. Thanks everyone for the help.
