no lifter?

I dont know what I said that was so bad.

You didn't say anything bad Gub. Some people forget when they first started working on a car, and where learning. They gain a lil knowledge and they think, and act like they never had a learning curve , they where just born with the knowledge dorment in there minds until they grew hair on there ass, and it exploded into existance on a givin day.

Keep asking questions, keep learning. There are no dumb questions , just assholes that forget what it was like the first time they had to work on there own car.

Ye sI am a asshole and stupid questions, methods, people ect.. bother me. Althou I'm no genius nor do i portray one there is a much better way to go about things that detailless ramblings look for a holding hand to help.

If someone was unaware of the basic parts to a valvtrain why in gods name woud you take it apart before doing some proper research to find out whats wht and what it does, that or calling on a friend/person to aid them in such. Instead people are lazy and do shit half ass this i do not condone.

When I "started out" I never touch a car for almost two years without my uncle stand over me cracking my knucles (this is not ment physically) telling me what is right or wrong, then would make me understand the principle behind it and why, how, which ect... By giving me a book and telling me figure it out.

Diving into your DD without even know what parts or what might have caused the issue, not even knowwing what you are doing ins senseless and a disaster waiting to happen. More proplems can be cuased this way then the orginial root one. If you search all the "help me posts" from the orginal poster they all are vage in details, vage or his knowledge of what he knows and don't.

How can you help someone who doesn't even know what a lifter looks like or that you have to take off the intake to acess them?

I'm not arguing just making a point thou my statment previous to this and well even this is very egostical and arrogant this i know and you don't have to remind me, its just how i am sometimes.

Your a very lucky man to have someone to help you out.

The group that i grew up with in the late 70's , we had to find out everything on our own. We tore into shit , replaced motors , trans. rearends, by ourselfs. We fucked up a lot but we also learned alot.

First transmission i replaced took me alone 8 hours, lol same charger i have now.

There was a few guys that would answer questions, but most would act like you where stupid , and make sarcastic comments to there friends. Hey we where young just trying to learn. I dont fault anyone for trying something new, and i will help them out if i can with my limited knowledge.
If we didnt have people that tore into things, that they knew nothing about, we still be in the stoneage.
