NMRA in Milan

Trunk what is that 30 mile race that you did several times last year?

NMRA called it Wild Street, but now it's called True Street. I didn't race @ Milan last year. My car wasn't done. I did race @ Columbus and Bowling Green though.

I see. I thought I missed the bachelor party :gr_jest:

fuck that shit. lol. I told her im not going to montana every year for vacation, but i figured it was a decent comprimise. Going to yellowstone national park(old faithful etc), going white water rafting blah blah blah.. And i'm dragging her to Norwalk the weekend we leave for pinks, wfc replacment in st louis etc. so i can't bitch too much.

i did nmca true street last year at milan,it was a lot of fun 30 mile cruise, then make 3 passes back to back, then they take your average.it was cool to come in to town 30 hotrods deep.people stop cant belive what they are seeing.im gonna do nmca an nmra this year if my schedule permits.i won the 13 second class with a 13.02 average $100+a plaque.
i recmend it for anybody with a streetable car that just wants to run for fun.

I'm going to try and run true street this year... If everything dosn't get done then I'll be in the show area again.

Yeah it was fun til I had a nitrous back fire and torched the head.

where is norwalk and is it big?

Norwalk is in Ohio. It's the home track of the IHRA, amd it's an awesome track. They host a FunFordWeekend event there every year. Awesome track. Puts Milan to shame. But, that ain't that hard to do. :icon_bigg

I'll be @ Milan in June, but just to watch.

That sounds like some fun. Do you have any info on how to get in it? I never done anything like this before. I should be able to do it no problem, since I drive my car to milan from downriver and get right in line anyway

you just come thru the gates like normal tell them true street, payyour $85 park and go to the tech trailer and register.they will give you your window stickers and a guy from nmca will tech the car and give you more stickers and instructions, easy and fun.

i rember that they raised the hood and sprayed it down with co2,i bet you were pissed.
it was a hatch if i remember correctly, green i think?

Yep, It was a blown head gasket, and it torched the head. I thought they were using a dry chem on it, was about to come unglued. The track guy was like " it's a CO2"
