Nitrous with a Blower?

No one said anything about changing the tune that is put on the car......but datalogging your car is VERY smart regardless of who tuned it, whether that be Alternative, Livernois or even Christ himself.

Lidio just called. My hopes and dreams were crushed of 550+ rear wheel hp. It made 530 and I dont know the tq yet but it was with the tq converter unlocked. He says at wot its common for 96- 98's to unlock.
 
Still have the stock converter in it? I'd get a new one if its still the stocker. Was night and day when I switched my converter in my 91 convertible.
 
I hope. I wonder if there is a way to get the convertor to lock up in third and stay locked up.

Someone correct me if im wrong but cant lock up be contolled by a switch? I thought when the cobra guys use a 4r70w they usually controll lock up and OD by switches.

530hp in your car should go 10s. What converter are you running? What tire?

Exactly what I have in my car, OD and lockup is controlled by a switch.

Not sure how that would work in a stock trans tho?
 
I'd get a new converter made up for your combo it will really make a big difference in the car.

There is absolutely no reason to downgrade the converter with an aftermarket stall with a twin screw aplication. If it was a vortech like mine definatly a good idea for 60 ft reasons. but i even had to send my PI stalion back for a costly tripple disc upgrade lock up to keep from sliping even with a ground activation switch that keeps mine locked when i tell it to. wouldnt of had the problem with a full size factory dia converter with slipping due to more surface area of lock up clutch. You prob would of made closer to your hp goal if it would of locked. Oh yah. dyno #'s dont always win races.
 
Yeah I dont think a looser convertor will help at all. It will just spin worse. With the twin screw it makes pleanty of power out of the hole.
