Yeah I googled around but didn't see anything concrete.
Nintendo has said they are upping production and will continue to sell them.

I need two of these. Finding them at retail prices is like finding hen's teeth. Hopefully they'll become more plentiful soon.

Isn't it kind of the Nintendo way? I remember Wiis being pretty continually hard to get too. I considered getting one a good bit after they came out and couldn't find one.
Edit: Looked it up, November 2006 release of the Wii. I bought my XBOX 360 in June of 08 and had been casually looking for a Wii for a bit when I bought the XBOX. At the point I bought the XBOX you still couldn't just walk into a store and buy a Wii and it was a year and a half after launch.

Not the one I got. It came in on a Tuesday and never even hit the shelf. (like pretty much all of them)
