Please read the Board Rules from the Elite Board of Directors!
The Board of Directors has approved the following posting rules for participating in the Club's Board. Please do not post in reply to this post. If you have questions about these rules, please post them in a new topic in the Club Suggestion Forum. Users that find these rules too oppressive should feel free to post at another site if they do not feel they can comply with these rules.
These rules have been recovered from the server crash, and are just a general outline until they are fully recovered.
Post Content:
No Personal Attacks against other members, guests or sponsors will be tolerated. This includes the use of obvious racial, religious, and ethnic slurs in posts that cross the line of "good taste". This includes threats of physical violence (if it's more than arm wrestling, it doesn't belong here) aimed at harming members, guests, spornsors or their private property. It also includes libelous statements made by users who have no direct business with a sponsor. If you find yourself asking if something you are about to post is in "good taste", trust your instincts and come up with something else to post.
We will have respect for the individuals on this board whether you love the person or hate them. If you encounter a conflict with a member or a guest, please take these issues to PM or e-mail. Do not waste everyone else’s time with these types of posts. If you have concerns about the content of PMs or e-mails resulting from a dispute going to the private arena, please make every attempt to end it as soon as one party concedes they have had enough of the topic.
Users that are found to have violated these simple rules will be warned. The thread in question will be locked and moved to the Moderator's area for documentation purposes.
Troll behavior using a second account to get around these simple rules will be investigated and both user accounts will be locked.
If a member encounters a problem that they are unable to resolve with a sponsor after repeated attempts to do so directly (in person or by phone), please contact a member of the Board of Directors to review your case before posting your story. The Board of Directors will review your dispute and attempt to assist in mediating and acceptable solutions for both parties.
Post Hijacking
It is a common courtesy for people participating in a thread to try to keep their posts on topic. Distracting posts do happen from time to time. If you are asked by the original posting person or the moderator, to get back on topic or move your topic to your own thread, please do so. This will go a long way to avoiding the temptation to slip into personal attacks which will not be tolerated.
Advertising
Only paying sponsors will be allowed to advertise automotive related products, group purchases and services on the Club's board. Individuals or companies that would like to advertise on the Club's board should contact Matt Stanford, Sponsorship Director, to discuss our sponsorship programs.
Moderators will review questionable posts that appear to have advertising content from non-sponsors and will lock these posts and move them to the Moderator Forum for documentation purposes.
Signatures that identify shops, people and groups that have assisted you in achieving your goals for your car, truck or bike project are acceptable. Take pride in your project and those that help you. Keep them short and to the point. The signature is intended to be an informal method for you to share your experiences with other users that may be considering using the same resources for their project.
If you are asked by a Moderator to adjust your signature to remove advertising info (contact information for non-sponsors would be an example), please do so promptly.
Users that continue to violate these simple rules will be subjet to a 3-day/1-week/1-month/permenant ban escilation process. Please note that this includes guests and club members.
Users that choose to violate these simple rules four times will find their account locked with a permenant ban. Please note again that this includes guests and club members.
