New year, new plans...

So I was planning on selling my LP560 but after the car has been for sale for 5 months and not getting any offers I was happy with, I decided to keep it. Unfortunately, the car is just not fast enough to me after having some other modified cars (especially the GTR) and if I was going to keep it, I have to at least keep them pesky bolt on GTRs and Z06's off my tail, lol.

So I got in touch with UGR and talked to them about pepping it up a little bit. I decided to go with a stage 1.5 turbo kit which essentially includes all the goodies from their stage 3 kit, with the exception of the built motor. So when I get bored with this power all I would have to do is build the short block and have a pretty wild ride.

I am looking forward to seeing some of you on WW this year and having some fun. Last year I barely got out due to having a newborn, but this year I am going to try and get out more (even though baby #2 is on the way in May, LOL)

Here she is off to UGR last night. ETA is 3-4 weeks.

can't wait to see this one out!
Yes, I am very excited for this one.

arent there turbo kits like 20k plus? stupied money
Ya, they are a lot more than 20K. They are not cheap, that's for sure, but I do think they are the best at what they do and one gets what they pay for. I am looking forward to assessing the package once I get the car back. From my understanding, their workmanship is top notch.

JESUS! How many hookers did you have to roll to save up for that?

how much power can they make in stock configuration (longblock/trans/carriers/axles) before they start to give out? Whats the weak point?

According to Jason Heffner and Kevin from UGR, they both told me that the 560s internals are more robust than the older Gallardos (which ran at 750 whp just fine) and that they feel confident the car will live for a long time without any issues at the 750-800 whp level. I am not sure what the absolute limit is, and I don't want to find out, but I won't be running mine any higher than 750 whp to stay on the safe side and compensate for any less than optimal 93 fill up.

The weak point are the rods. But as long as the torque is capped it should not be an issue.

The stock clutch can handle up to 900 whp before having to upgrade.

The tranny is strong and requires upgrading at the 1200 whp level.

Overall these cars are pretty stout from the factory.

I can't imagine owning one of these. I really can't imagine upgrading one! Looks like way too much fun I'd be arrested within the first hour of owning one!

Wow, I knew you were gonna do something like this. Woodward should have some more good action this summer.
A UGR lambo is probably the only car that I really don't think there is an answer to on the street. (1500whp) I know you'll give me a couple of cracks at it this summer. I'm gonna step my game up.
Congrats, on the your other new delivery due in May.

Hey Mike,

Thanks a lot! Ya, I do agree that a high HP'd UGR Lambo is hard to beat. But a 1500 whp Lambo would take some serious coin and the reliability at that power level become questionable. My car will have half the power but should be fast enough for me.....for now..=)

I am not the street racer I used to be given the kids, but I do like to have fun on occasion.

I am looking forward to meeting up this season.
