Judging from what I can tell it is a SCCA car that ran up to 82. The guy I bought it from didn't know that much about it, said it was his buddies and it has only come out a few times since the early 80's. I need to do a little tinkering with it to make it really nice again. Excuse the dirt, I just drove it home.

And I know the date stamp is off on my camera, lol.

Even though I'm more of a straight line guy, that car is really cool. Throw away the fog lights and put some 17 or 18" wheels on it.

Then, LS engine swap :)

Yes, the fog lights are on the way out, already have the wiring taken out. The plan is to fix some wiring, redo the exhaust, and give it a good once over and fix anything else it needs. I have another engine that I want to run in it. I don't want to kill the original numbers matching motor. As long as I don't find any history on this car that would make it valuable, I plan on racing it for a while and then restoring it back to original if racing it ever gets old.

And it is going to stay carb'd with a 4 speed and 15 inch tires. I know that isn't what the trend is, but I'm not the trendy type of guy. I'm even keeping the original AM-FM-CB radio, I dig the old school stuff like this. Now I just need to find some people to road race with.

Where do you find these things? Very cool!

It's this secret place called Craigslist. I call craigslist the new side of the road, like back in the day when you could find cars pushed out to the curb with a for sale sign on them. Now they leave them in the garage burried under a ton of crap and just post them online. This beauty was in the back of a trailer park where nobody would see it unless you lived there. Cool thing is since it lived most of it's life as a race car, it doesn't have a ton of miles on it and most of the original parts they changed out came with it in the trunk.
