New Summer Project

Couple of weeks ago I picked up this 2000 Trans Am for dirt cheap. It is 100% stock, Automatic, 122,000 miles. Runs and drives fine just needs some interior and appearence work done to it. The previous owner decided to go crazy with neon green paint.

The trans am logos and vents on the door were neon green so i just removed those. All interior plastic pieces were painted neon green as well. The plan is to get used interior trim off ebay but for right now i am just going to paint them black. The rest you can see in the pictures.

Here is some shots of the interior after using carpet cleaner. You can see the neon green paint around the airbag on the dash as well. ANy body have ideas on how to get this stuff off?

What kind of :dollar: did you pick it up for?

Just wondering because I've always wanted to get that body style TA someday!

$3,000 Clean title. I have known the family for a long time. They bought there younger son this car a while back, and he messed it all up. So i always told them if they ever wanted to get rid of it let me know. So couple weeks ago the mom called me and said come get this car out of my driveway.

Looks good, small stuff to do but for the price...thats a steal.

Yea like i was telling you earlier, lot of little bs that it needs but all easily fixed. Plus passenger window motor is dead, power locks and mirrors dont work either. But nothing to big a deal.

Thats a good deal, Pike. Get rid of everything green.

Already in the process of it. Rear bumper cover i prepped and its at the paint shop, interior plastic is getting sprayed black. And now i am on a search for a front bumper cover. Leo said you just sold yours.

Brake cleaner always works for removing paint. I'd spray it on a towel first though, then wipe it off. It may haze the dash, but a nice application of Armor All will fix that.
