New ride for a while

1993 Corvette, 68k miles, auto trans

It was my grandpa's car (now it just sits in my grandmas garage)

It needs some maintenance items, tires, front brakes, fluids and a lot of TLC. I plan on putting some miles on it this year.

Anything I should look out for as far as wear goes? It has had a few repairs recently (optispark, ignition module, fuel pump). I plan on doing spark plugs because I think they are at least a decade old.

Nice daily. Seems like the common issues have been taken care of.

If you plan to list it, pm me. I might know of someone interested.

Thanks. Not planning on selling it anytime soon.

Any suggestions on mods? I'm thinking about mufflers but I want to keep the stock tips. I think the only mod it has is a trans shift kit.

Nice ride. Check out the C4 tech section over at corvette forum for mod ideas.

Might need tires if they are hard like hockey pucks? Can't go wrong on some mufflers...maybe some 10 series Flows to open it up and drop some weight. :)

Oh yeah, every LT1 needed a CC306 Comp Cam..Those just sounded badass..... i think they were a 230/244 Duration piece that gave a killer idle!!

The tires are cracked and shitty. It's been sitting since about 2008.

10s might sound good now but if the cats go away, they'll be a bit obnoxious

Leave the cats on there, and swap a Borla or Corsa catback under it. Those sound good with cats. Keep the old vette classy sounding, leave the raw rumble for the rest of your fleet you have amassed. Only trip up is keeping the stock or stock syle tips, as a lot of aftermarket kits are quad tips, with dual outlets on each muffler.

Chambered system here would allow you to swap the factory tips onto this system and sound good.

They also make a stainless version

I've been thinking about picking up a plastic welder, ill fix that hairline in the battery cover if you pull it off for me.

I love C4s. Keep us updated as you replace things. I know a lot of C4 guys buy muffler eliminators with stock tips.

I just put 50 miles on it yesterday. When it's in overdrive at like 1200 RPM, tipping in to the throttle gives a pretty rough miss that clears up as the RPM gets higher like an over rich condition. I might pull the injectors and check flow/spray pattern. What do you recommend to replace them? OE or aftermarket brand?
