new race track...

" Councilwoman Jeanette Ambrose commented that racing is unique and special and thought they had a great plan. She said considering Michigan and Detroit’s history with cars, it’s not a stretch to say that people will be drawn to it – adding homes aren’t special but the race track is and they won’t get another chance at this."

How often do you hear that? Awesome...

what is also amazing is they picked the race track ,over a new home developer...which would give the city more property taxes

If they setup some hot go-karts.... That would be nice. JD karts are fun but outdoors could make a big course! Then track rentals or specific days for bikes, cars, tube chassis... I would definitely participate and maybe spectate a few races.

This would be great...But, with the amount of tracks that are getting closed down, I think it will be a really tough sell.
I believe there have been a few attempts at these sorts of facilities in the past, only one I can think of is the M5 deal? Not even sure what it's called off the top of my head.

Interesting that they have to pay for it up here, but in Detroit, land is given out for burnouts and drifting events.

Regardless, do it, where do I sign for a Yes vote?

Being for sale for $350K doesn't make it worth $350K.
Zillow is useless aside from reporting public record previous selling prices.
What is something worth - what someone will give you cash today for.
The rest is pure fantasy.

I believe the cheapest pre-order ones where in the 80-100K range. You can still get them now for ~$150K so the prices have definitely gone up. That one you see for $350 is fully furnished, I'm sure they put more then $150K into it so they are probably loosing money. When you get the building its an empty garage.
