New project Malibu

Hotside

I just got home with the newly ceramic coated hotside of my turbo system. Another great job by Bill and the guys at QC coating.

The parts look sweet. I think you inspired me and my brother to try and do our own turbo build. Might be having some questions for you in the near future.

Bad ass build. You did a good job for doing it all in your garage. Hope to see it out so I can check it out.
We have a tig welder, we have a turbo. If I could get your lazy azz off the couch and in my garage, maybe we could have a cool build like this one lil brother

I guess I should have read the whole thread before I started talking smack.....lol

Looks good, all the ceramic coating on the notch is flaking and looks like shit

From what I was told that shiny ceramic coating is only good for about 1400 degrees, thats why I opted for the higher temp shit when i did mine, but it doesnt look anywhere near as nice

Damn you don't screw around! Looks like it's ready for the street.

Lmao!!!! What are you gonna do all winter now??!!Looks fuckin killer!!!!!!!

Thanks. Its getting there, still needs fuel system, complete wiring, rear end swap and finish the exhaust. Still a ton of work.

very nice!!!

Thanks

Very nice work. Have you fired it up yet? Are you tuning it yourself?

I still have a ton of work to do before start up. I hope the damn thing runs. I am not sure on the tune, I had the computer setup with a base tune so I hope its a good start.

Pic

Just pulled the gas tank to put a sump on it. Here is a pic of the underbody where the tank was. I was suprised how clean it is under there for a 32 year olc car.
