New project car

Finally picked up a project to call my own. It's originally an Arizona car and has sat idle outside "in storage" for the last 9 years or so. Got my work cut out, but it should be damn nice when it's all said and done.

good luck with the project

I've always liked those Lincolns. I just saw a vert like that one yesterday.

did you get that car from service towing or did they just tow it for you?

Wowzers....yeah, I had them tow it. Did you see it or do you have a contact over there?

Hangemhigh, I'll definitely be taking you up that offer....certainly appreciate it.

Plans for the car are to get everything mechanical in tip-top shape. The car's sat for a LONG time, so I'm hoping things didn't get too fubared. Long-term plans will be nice paint, lower it (probably air), and some fat white-walls on the stuck hubcaps. I'm no purist, but I want to keep the heritage of the car. It's just too pimp looking stock. :coolio:

Thanks for the positive replies, fellas.

That car would be bad ass with a Cobra engine with an auto behind it. One of those cars is on my "If I ever have the money" list.

Thanks for the positive feedback, fellas.

I'll be getting rolling on it hopefully this weekend. I may try and turn it over this weekend if I can get some things accomplished.

Question for anyone willing to respond.....what should I spray down the cylinders before cranking it over? I plan to swap out the plugs and check the points. Anything else major before I try and crank it over? I'd rather not pull the heads off unless necessary. The car has sat for 9ish years. Thanks in advance.
